From their desk. Good man. which condition though? Last I knew though TST had same commissions in combine and live - 5$/RT and not more, maybe they change now. By spread i mean - exchange traded spread - for example spread between brent and wti crudes, which is quoted and traded on the...

There is also a thread on BMT where you can ask michael any question. I am not speculating though on my answers, i directly asked michael/TST regarding those rules. They may have changed though since Feb. you can negotiate when you build a 15k$ buffer, not senior trader. even daily risk limits...

May i know which firm is that? Do calculate the amount you are paying as transaction cost as % of your profits once, i think you may be surprised. Even Mtnman isnt backed by TST, hes self funded, and he is probably the best trader on their energy squawk. I think he did get a rollover. Even for...

2000$ would be the NET profit you make(60% of which is yours), cushion needs to be 15k $ to negotiate. 2k$ is just for senior trader, on 50k combine . After you reach 15k$ you can negotiate most things. I did some 4 combines earlier. Now have a job at a Prop, maybe do a combine for fun later...

Yes, you can trade own money. Regarding what are the limits and all, once you become senior trader - they are subjective, they do not have objective requirements for that. Once you make 15k USD in profits you can negotiate- daily stop position size no weekly stop. transaction cost too...

    Continue or Bin it?

are these your first 200 live trades? then congratulations on above break even. Are you day trading? if so, it will take thousands of trades to get a hang imo. as gsmt says get the least commissions. if you are day trading commissions are quite a significant portion of your PnL. Can make or...

Because its a 1500 max drawdown risk to make 1500 USD, for the rest 2k drawdown to make 3k or 3.5k (also drawdown isnt the money they risk on the downside, rather from peak.) its the best risk/reward simply. but 500USD/ day sadly doesnt cover the risk per lot in oil at least. In crude or SnP...

Well, the 30k combine is the most fair agree, but need more than a 500 USD strict loss limit to trade a product like crude. Can trade the snp for sure though for the 30k combine, it's not as volatile. 50k combine isnt bad either. Anyways i wonder why it is arbitrarily named 30k, 50k, 150k etc

Hi, I came across this at a thread on which you posted. " Best deal around? Come on pal, there are firms in Chicago paying guys 500k plus with 60k to 75k in base pay while you are training, not even placing trades, with full benefits and a chance at becoming a partner if you do well. No...

Is Brokerage a zero risk operation?

Hi all. I was wondering if being a broker is a zero risk operation. Why do brokerage firms close down. These things come to mind - 1) Letting clients take more positions than the margins allow, then run the risk of clients defaulting on those positions. 2) Some % of clients will go to...

Net Neutrality Vs. Day Traders Vs. HFT Firms

It's not about being faster data connection or Mb/sec, its about latency. which is a different ballgame. There is a difference between the two. In trading i would mostly be concerned about latency. For day traders few ms should do fine. speed required on my end is hardly 2-4 mbps/ system
