    Poor Fills on Firstrade

Interesting. What do you consider the latency that is acceptable on a retail trading account located in the USA?

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

Most APEX introducing brokers use the APEX Managed routes.

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

The COB is monitored by market makers looking for an edge to their values. If they send your order to a broker, no MM can see it unless they show it. The broker will try and work the order, but small orders can be ignored. I have no idea if they are doing this.

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

My mistake. My comment was for single leg orders.

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

I guess you need to ask them if they send your orders to the CBOE COB or to a broker in the crowd. We do not use floor brokers. They might.

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

If you enter an order at the mid-point, do you see it post on the CBOE? Are you orders going out at prices that can't be shown, like 3.125 when the Market was 3.00 x 3.25?

    Poor Fills on Firstrade

If the option strike market is only from MMs, the midpoint is often their fair value. They will only trade with you if the index moves. Their systems look for an edge. Has nothing to do with PFOF.

Many users report Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments and TD Ameritrade are down

Lightspeed Trader, Lightspeed Web&Mobile, Sterling Trader Pro, EZE EMS and CBOE Silexx (I hope I don't jinx it), are all operating normally today.

Many users report Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments and TD Ameritrade are down

I got a phone call about 10 minutes ago. "I'd like to open a checking account". I'm sorry we do not offer Checking. What company are you trying to reach. "Charles Schwab.". I'm sorry, we are not Charles Schwab. " Can you transfer me?" Sorry, but you call the wrong company, I can't do that.

    Suggestion for Option Courses (paid)

I was an independent MM. I had no interest is working for a large MM firm. If SIG were to hire me, I would have jumped at it. I never would have interested them even with my BS-MBA from NYU. They hired either from Ivy league schools or top poker players. I'm also not that good at math and would...

    Suggestion for Option Courses (paid)

Except for the most part, they are trained on Vol arb and in the off hours, poker. They use poker to train their interns and new hires logic and odds. Not much for a retail trader to profit from. I knew a lot of them from the Amex.

    Suggestion for Option Courses (paid)

I do not know them, nor do I have any faith in any program that teaches one strategy. It is my belief that you get a clear understanding of how options are valued and the structure of the market first. Then, unless you are a market maker or running a vol book, you start with an opinion on the...

Broker for automated trading US stocks

I’m not ready to post and promote in a public forum the new Lightspeed Connect API yet. If you email me, I can share information. It does not require Windows. Same for anyone else.

    Suggestion for Option Courses (paid)

SIG is a market maker group. They will not have anything like that for the public.

Which trading platform has the best level 2 ?

We offer Lightspeed and Sterling. Both have a Level 2 display. Lightspeed offers a Level 1 Bundle which, in a level 2 window, shows all the exchanges and ECNs one time. We also offer Level 2 data. On Sterling, we have no bundle but you get a choice of some Level 1 and many Level 2 including...
