    NYSE to announce new hours

For public release - "Chairman Reed will further rearrange the deck chairs at the NYSE by splitting the board into 4 sections. The 3rd and 4th section of the board will NOT have keys to the executive washroom. In addition, those in the 4th section of the board will NOT have permanent...

specialists are not going away yet

I think its out of his hands. But then again, what did you expect Reed to say? :D They can keep the specialist system, as long as the ecns are on an even playing field and instant execution is required - the structure of the NYSE is irrelevant.

The economy was different back then. Inflation, malaise. Thats when angry punk rock got started. In the early 90's you had chop and the same kind of malaise - thats when angry rap music got started. I don't hear any angry music this time. Maybe Hillary Duff's Disney music album can be...

    Pit Traded "realtime" charts?

Thats a fair statement. Because of the faster trade reporting the mini contracts (ES/NQ) were the tail that wagged the dog. Now that so much volume has moved electronic - the mini is the dog that wags the tail (pit). SP pit traders watch ES for direction. ES is now the source of price...

Don, after watching the episode again I've decided you don't need to lose weight, just change your wardrobe. If you want to look slim - instead of wearing a black jacket and checked shirt - switch it around. Wear a black shirt and patterned jacket. That way the eye is drawn away from the...

    Gdp 7.2%

With this economic news I think Bush has got a lock on 2004 and possibly even 2008 (if they change the Constitution). Beyond that, my crystal ball is a bit foggy. :D

    Es - 10/29/03

CME has to reduce its ES tick size to .10 Too much slippage % when increasing trade size due to smaller range. CME is out of touch. Can't be good news for their stock.
