GF Are you in the US? a futures a/c should only take a week or so to set up. I'm in the UK and even using snail mail I've set up US futures trading accounts within 3 weeks. As you know, best not to rush these things ;-)

Not my area, but if Chindian demand for eg confectionary and clothing do anything like their demand for steel and oil, where do you see eg cocoa and cotton in a couple years time? Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating getting into these sectors, but we are in interesting times. About the...

I couldn't comment on the cattle/weights/slaughter stuff, I do gold and oil not ags. Jim Rogers imho talks a lot of sense, his background is solid and his track record speaks for itself. Does a rising tide float all boats? Not if some of those boats have holes in the hull. That said, we...

    Live Cattle Soybeans(meal too) Wheat

I can't comment on agriculturals as a whole as it's not a sector I watch. My interests are precious metals and to a lesser extent energy. However, these 2 sectors require me to keep an eye on commodities in general and my feeling is that wheat has not had the run that most other commodoties...

Believe me, I do follow the fundamentals. But I find the charts invaluable for entry/exit points ... perhaps it's just habit from a few years in a market as overtly and massively manipulated as gold and silver. Perhaps it's also habit but, whenever the mainstream like Reuters etc get a hold...

thanks for the link. I have that already, but was wondering if there was a more comprehensive service you knew of - I subscribe to stockCharts but they don't do #11. Nice bounce up today ... :-)

    >>>> Rising wedge? Seems more like an ascending triangle to me. Btw rising wedges, like ascending triangles, have very poor predictive powers. >>>> Well I'd sure be happy with an ascending triangle here :-) The last couple of days are getting me jittery. fwiw Murphy (p144) thinks...

"choose a window of time when your prediction will happen - THAT is REALLY difficult to do." As Richard Russell would say "...don't tell me WHAT to invest in, tell me WHEN..." gold and silver is my bag really and I reckon specialising is important, but I recently got into #11, having...
