    IB TWS greeks going bad.....!!!

you kind of answered the question yourself... one of the reasons why I like LVX with LTSP and IBKR custody, is that they are providing the market data.. not sure if that means I execute only off their data or off IBKR as well, but on the account I have with LVX I dont pay MD fees to IBKR.. IBKR...

    IB TWS greeks going bad.....!!!

its called, use LVX... the more I use TWS, the more I am tinkering with the idea of using excel for OE for the spreads I care about... but that would mean learning VBA, and I am not a fan of VB.. but TWS is just buggy... went to put on a currency calendar the other day and it rejected it because...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

am an NVIDIA guy, but the concept should be the same across it all... can you install an X16 card in a X4 ... yes (I assume both slots are X16 format but one is X4 bandwidth)... performance might suffer a bit... so W4100 => x16 full bw for your main display... the older card is PCI2.1, and the...

    Historical Intraday Futures Charts

like @just21 mentioned, you can buy it and chart with excel or anything that can process a time series.. https://www.tickdata.com/product/historical-futures-data/ http://www.portaracqg.com/databaseall.php I know you can chart the old historical contracts with CQG, like if I wanted to see...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

Raw? no.. that would be 40TB raw... today I have 2x Seagate 10TB IronWolf Pro 7200RPM ... mirred, so usable is around 9.09TB ... adding another 2x for a total of ~18TB+ ... that is on the server, all the FOB data for futures and options is there as raw text files, but I have been tinkering with...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

OP probably needs that much, yes... I personally have 10TB on my setup and am 77% full... I'll probably add another 2x10TB (I mirror all my drives when they are that big..).. PS. I realized that it sounded like if I was the OP. thus I edited my comment.

Selling Spreads & Risk at IB

the moment you are assigned the other leg is auto-executed... not sure about what happens if there are no quotes.. likely it goes from prior close or settlement (if futures).. worst case scenario is your marked risk imo... I just had an assignment on NG because I forgot to roll it, so I know.. I...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

hmmm... not sure as to the question, but it isn't hard to see how he is doing it as that system supports 3x HDD easily as long as there is a slim DVD drive... even better still.. you can add +6x 2.5" drives for more disk space as long as you throw in a controller as well...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

if you are looking at 4K just get a set of TV's... you can have 4K supporting HDMI for around $500... way more cost effective than 27" 4K UHD screens.. and easier to your eyes... I have a 55" LG on which I display charts and watchlists.. then a 27" IPS WHQD (again, easy on the eyes) for LVX/TWS...

Need help configuring Dell T-5810 Workstation

the vendor (DELL/HP/IBM/Lenovo/etc) means the level of support you will get from them... there you pick based on your preference.. assuming you will dedicate this to trading only, and keep a separate one for regular stuff, I would suggest you swap those HDD for NVMe SSD drives, and use Acronis...

    IB Vix products Margin??

self explanatory? btw, this is for an IRA... but it will give you the idea as to what you need to do in order to see the requirements... and the same applies for any product.

Dear IB...please fix your options quotes in WebTrader

actually, you should look at LVX if you are doing options... just go to LTSP, open the LVX account and keep your custody with IBKR... that is what I have myself... all the benefits of IBKR with none of the data issues.. :)

Looking for an IB for Wedbush / well capitalized firm for trading futures

Personally, I would pick Wedbush over RJO... imo, a better balance sheet as an FCM.. it really depends on what you trade... to me, they are more professional when it comes to what you will have access to or not and their risk limits. since last time I posted information on how one should...

IB TWS bug! Went short instead of long

don't feel bad.. it happens more than you think.. with IBKR, all future calendars are reverse celendars if you want to trade them "the normal" way (specially if you are used to CQG for charting given IBKR data is not all that great for spreads) ... its easy to forget about it tbh, and one ends...

Software better than TOS for options?? is LiveVol good?

LVX is good, but takes some getting used to... as long as your focus is options only you are good.. you can also get data into excel (just no order execution from there, I wished they added that part)..

    Non-pro vs Professional data fees

realistically, LTSP will take you.. you will just pay the inactivity fees... or just make a few trades a month in there to maintain/keep them happy...

    Non-pro vs Professional data fees

sadly, the moment you have any kind of entity, you will pay pro fees... no ways around it... the best you can do is get a pro and non-pro account, keep L1 in Pro and L1+2 in non-pro... depending on what markets you trade it will save you some $$$..

W10 vs W7 vs iMac Sierra

Don't buy a mac unless that is what you use for everything else. Dedicate the computer to trading. Buy something cost effective with a decent graphics card, at least 8gb of ram and 4-8 cores @ 3ghz or better. Get an SSD for the OS and data, its inexpensive and it will be much better performing...

Self Directed IRA service to invest in a hedge fund

I've read about the principal of that LLC... she does have good reviews... all I will say is whatever you choose, due your own due diligence, call them and give them the scenario so they disclose all fees and compare each custodian.
