Have a plan going in, if you find you are "leaving too much on the table", adjust the plan. Your exit strategy is part of your plan.

I make more money than I need trading. Of course among the things I don't need are a private jet or a house with 15 bathrooms and an Olympic size pool in the master. If you feel you do need such things, I wish you well on your quest but don't forget the little people on your way up the mountain.

Some people like to teach and some people like to trade. A teacher can market, dance and fake, a trader has nowhere to hide, no one to fool...except the self. Someone who trades for a living should not care how much someone else makes or doesn't make.
