Market forces at work: A seller believes that the price of the stock is going down... a buyer believes that the price of the stock is going to go up. How can you call this random? If the markets were truly random then individual equities would not move (for the most part) in unison, trending...

I see this referenced a lot... is that a 'total number' or 'per equity', i.e. can I trade 3 MSFT, 3 QQQ, 3 BRCD, etc. in a five-day period and still not be labeled a 'pattern day trader? And... does the not more than 3 refer to round trips or one-way trips? :confused: Mr. Toad

Well, I sorta botched that entry- I want to achieve an AVERAGE of 1% of my account per day... I realize there will be good + bad days. No, this isn't John Belushi in Samuri Trader :D Mr. Toad

A question for the plethora of 'successful' day traders that hang out here: :D Definition: You made more money than you lost in the last 6-12 months after expenses and can consistantly 'bring home the bacon', not "well, I got lucky today - I'm in the black". Just curious... anyone care to...
