Getting a lot of slippage today and just wanted to see what other people thought was acceptable slippage on 1 lot mkt orders. I usually average in and out of trades using 1 lot. And today I'm getting about .3 of a pip - fractional pip - on both buys and sells. What's normal?

I wouldn't toss forex to the wolves so fast. If you don't like the market maker structure of the forex dealers then you can trade the CME. But take a peak at 6E I think you'll see some very nice trends. I personally think it trends better then the ES. Just my .02.

I agree, I think forex trends better then equities/indexs. If someone tries to play a unhedge reversion to the mean on forex you'll get your teeth kicked in. Once forex starts to move its like a run away freight train with no breaks. :eek: Operator

They say male traders can be to aggressive sometimes, and a women will be more patience and wait for that good set up. Nothing wrong with that....There is a reason that SAC made their top male traders take Estrogen hormones pills...

forex is a over-the-counter market and would be almost impossible to tape read. you could maybe watch the speed of the quotes to get a idea of momentum

Just because you could not find any predictive power, doesn't mean that someone else could not....

How do you think these big funds did it 10yrs ago. They would call up there sales trader and he would make some phone calls to see if any of his other big clients were interested in taking the other side of the trade or pieces of the trade. Dark pools is just the next step, but same concept.

Just trade Forex or Futures and you don't have to worry about this crap.

yeah, that was my point in posting it. i figured they didn't have to send out that email. i think with the new farm bill that passed a few months ago should help clean up some of these shops. i have a account with them and no issues so far. well 1 issue there was a crossed/frozen market...
