It was kind of a cold shower watching the market take a nosdive this morning, and the thing that kept me in the long position was my still positive look on the week as a whole. Now many people probably starts to think that we will go down for sure, and right then the market usually throws in...

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

The wild gyrations continue, and after going up more than 1 percent to a high of 1052.75, the market fell to 1034.5 which equals 1.75 percent. I went in too soon of course, but luckily the market rebounded somewhat to close at 1039.25, where I am holding overnight, with a loss for the day of...

The market is a bit hesitant, and if I am lucky i will get another chance to buy cheap.

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

We were down at 1041.5 but then the market got in an awful hurry, and left me behind. So now I am still on the sidelines and the market is at 1045. It will not come down much again, but I will look to buy if it does.

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

We are at 1042.75 and I am suspecting a few more points down, and then I'll go in.

And we are at 1046.25 and my fingers are itching even more. But I think that now when we got the pullback, the only way the market can surprise is to make it deeper than people would think, so I am waiting.

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

The only thing that is worse than losing, is being right and not winning. The market has continued up, and when Nordeas report came out this morning at 9.30, it extended itself to 1052.75. We are back at 1048.75 now, and I am itching to buy, but since we have had such a strong move from 1027.5...

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

Market closed at 1041.5, after a high of 1042.75 and low of 1027.5. The low of course was just after open, and from there the market went higher all day, without much volatility or pullbacks. Of course, what was profitable last week, waiting for large swings up and down, and then standing aside...

I am using Nordnet, and their Wintrade platform. I guess FIP are alright, but I have never used them. As I never take any advice from brokers anyway, I only look for cheap but dependable execution. Nordnet is ok in this regard.

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

So, the long weekend is over, and although I talked about monday having a fair chance of a last sell off, I of cause meant tuesday. It looked good when US fell yesterday, but Asia is up about a percent and people will soon realise we can't go down forever, perhaps already at the opening. It's...

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

High today was 1042.25, Low 1032 and Close 1036. I think we will get a bit less volatility next week, and a lot more upside than this week. I am lucky I am still alive to buy it.

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

I exited because there might still be a sort of a sellout on monday morning when all the people who does not follow the market real time, but who read about the terrible market slide, the worst week since january, and all the other doom and gloom over the week end, wants to pull out. We had a...

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

Ok, I'm gonna make a distinction here between reason for trade and entry. My reason for the long trade has to do with how I think the probability is for getting an up move today, and how big and when. With no morning pop to the upside which I had expected, I took off the position from yesterday...

    Index futures (OMX, Sweden)

Looks like we are the worst market today again (I usually compare with CAC, DAX and FTSE), and my timing is as usual off. Futures are down 7.75 points at 1035, and I am down 4.5 points on my latest entry. If we can not get up a good bit during the afternoon, I suspect there might be a real flush...
