    Bright Trading's new payout model

who said anything about how you acquire an edge(on craigslist)?? all I said was that an edge is more important than capital. if you have an edge (the ability to make money) than you can start with 20k. i'm not sure why all these issues are brought into it. reread what i said. i know an edge...

    Bright Trading's new payout model

I guess we have a different definition of an edge. My definition is not just an idea of how to make money. My definition of an edge is that you already have the skill.

    Bright Trading's new payout model

I agree with propseeker. Equity is not the most important thing. I knew a lot of semi wealthy people that tried to trade and lost it all. It's about having an edge. I'd rather have an edge and start with 20k than to start with 200k and no edge. I also started with low capital base and built...

    LLC Brokerage Account

With my limited knowledge, the LLC is a passthrough entity. I don't think it provides the tax advantages that the other member suggested. And the wash sale is another issue. You can file MTM with either LLC or indiv.

sending trading signals to instant message clients?

In an automated fashion? If you wanted to do them manually, try Trillian. It can send it to AIM, Yahoo, etc at the same time.

    Routing orders to market markers

That's correct. Currently, my platform had added a market maker to route orders to. I send 100,000-1mm shares a day taking liq with zero take fees. It's great for a scalper.

1 yr Lockup of Funds at Prop

No, it's not a gimmick. From my understanding, if the firm uses the trader's capital for net cap, it is subject to a one year lock up. If the capital is segregated and not used for net cap, then there's no lock up. It really depends on the capitalization of the firm. Some firms will and some...

    2 pcs, 2 isps, 1 mouse

I use a KVM switch and rely on it daily. There are a lot of cheap slow ones. I use the Linksys and it's super fast and reliable. The slow ones can take 3 secs before you can control the other pc. The Linksys is instant. For other brands, they've lasted less than a year. Knock on wood, my...

    Trading with Windows 7

I agree with you. I'm a scalper and speed is MONEY. The guys who say that it won't make you money must have strategies where speed is not as important. So, making a blanket statement is inaccurate.
