Do all the self-employed traders here pay for their own health insurance out of their profits? $500/month (family of three/four) is a HUGE AMOUNT of money to me. Anyone have any idea on how to cut down on the cost of health insurance (without going uninsured of course :) )

His 'big picture' thesis has clouded everything he did this year. Yes, he will eventually be right, but in the mean time there's money to be made. He's been fighting the market since October 2002! I don't know how he calls himself a trader; he's acting like a long-term portfolio manager...

The response I received from IB (at the begining of this thread) said that because I've been daytrading I am now a Pattern Daytrader, and as such, once the account falls below 25K it will be frozen for 90 days until I deposit more money.... I don't think the 3 trades in 5 days applies once...

The speed is not really an issue, I mean, I can log in initially, but after about 5 mintues TWS disconnects. If I reboot my computer I can log in again for another 5 mintues....as you can see, it's not really possible to trade like this.... Do you really think this is an issue of speed, or is...

I frequently have trouble when connecting via my Sprint PCS phone and laptop. TWS will open initially, then disconnect and refuse to connect again... I wonder if my TWS settings could be tweaked to become more compatiable while using my Sprint PCS phone (as a modem) on my laptop...any ideas...

I'm starting at Level II (using powerview) and I see Market Makers with the ids of "C" and "P" .... besides them I see INCA/SIZE/BTRD/GSCO etc.... who are C and P?
