Iterative Refinement

Attached is Friday's open on the DAX (unannotated). As a drill, apply the principles you have learned here bar by bar and make a brief note of the monitoring, analysis decisions and actions you would make in real time, being as realistic as possible. Start at 9am. Let me know how you...

    Reid psych/profile test

ROTFLMAO! You are being ironic, right? Otherwise it looks like the test might have some value after all. (I'm not judging, I'd probably fail the test too.)

How long before you were fully automated?

Jack how did this automatic system suppress the short signal which may be generated by the fast stoch and volume (see circled area in the attachment)? I note that the slow stoch had made it all the way across and the MACD had crossed over above zero.

    Iterative Refinement

Consider redoing your chart on Globex time settings. See if the sequences make more sense then. The first meaningful dominant traverse of the day began at 07:40 and ended at 10:10, IMO; and the corresponding P3 short channel formed at around 12:00. I don't understand the rationale...

    What's Your Biggest Obstacle?

Sounds like your biggest obstacle is being on the sidelines. But seriously, carbon dioxide and the fight/flight response are the biggest obstacles we face. Learn to breathe and control the shape of your heart wave. Only then will you have the capacity to trust both yourself and the market.

    Iterative Refinement

Hi gucci in my experience, sequences are always completed. Sometimes when news is due the pace and depth of sequence completion is subtle - but it is always there, even in an IBGS. This does not mean you have to be in the market at such times.

    Iterative Refinement

Yes I know. I was merely asking for an annotated chart of the area you identified.

    Iterative Refinement

Could you post a chart showing what you mean? Thanks.

    Iterative Refinement

Does this annotation represent the correct view? Please also see the question in the box on the chart - what is the earliest time you can definitively discount the possibility of a P3 Long (channel)? Thanks.

    Iterative Refinement

Hi guava my comment was only really meant for Spyder, to give him some feedback that his efforts have been worth it for me, despite the confusion I had with some aspects of the recent drill. One significant thing I have changed in the last few months is to go back to logging in pencil and...

    Iterative Refinement

A significant part of your analysis/explanation is predicated on the end of one day start of the next context, correct? I did not realize we were given this information for the drill. Yes and the PV relationship states that increasing volume is required for dominant price movement (on that...

    Iterative Refinement

And we were meant to able able to annotate the segment this way solely with the information we had for the drill? I know the gaussians match the tapes, but they do not match the change in volume. Binary vector. You are showing vectors going in the opposite direction to the rate of...

    Iterative Refinement

Hi gang. I'd probably be sidelined anticipating a P3 long and then miss it (mustn't chase, LOL). :D

    Technical Strategy

Here's another one. My timezone means this is a hindsight chart. As you will be told, it therefore has no value obviously :p (Funny then that it took me well over an hour to annotate properly this fine Saturday morning.) Tapes and internals tell.

What a tricky day! Here's another perspective (for discussion purposes only):

Well this is where I get off the train. Good journey to all of you. Thanks Spydertrader and Jack.

    Iterative Refinement

Read my recent posts again, carefully. I have been talking all along about traverse level trading. You must trade the middle fractal of whichever triplet you are monitoring. By trading the middle you are also trading the outer. (Leave tapes to Jack et al for now.) If you were trading...

    Iterative Refinement

Then you are jumping fractals - entering on a traverse and waiting for a channel event to exit / reverse. Peak volume occurs at all fractal levels. If you are a traverse level trader it makes sense to monitor peak volume in the traverse you are currently riding. Thanks for hi-lighting the...

    Iterative Refinement

Well exactly. I am testing the definition provided as it makes no sense to me. Do the "impartial friend" and 10 year old test and get back to me. :D For anyone who hasn't followed thus far we are talking about bar 8:
