    How should a newb trade 50 K

Go somewhere like www.onlinetradingacademy and buy some class materials or take a class. If you have 50K why do the prop thing. I'd suggest a retail direct access firm and learing at your own pace.

Account size / per share Volume

Why does he have a goal of trading 1 million shares a month. I only trade a quarter of that and my direct access broker gives me trades at .006 with optional rebates. Find a new prop firm or open a retail daytrading account.

Did you go to college and if so, how did your degree help in trading?

If you were a finance major or a techie, how couldn't that help. It's not going to fix an pschological issues or help you pick stocks, but it can't hurt.

    OK, so what now?

Seems to me that if you're successful trading on your own that's the best job possible. No one to answer to except yourself. Why not just step away from the prop firm and trade with your own account if you're doing well.

No money management. Plain and simple. New traders often take $50 off the table and let losses run into the thousands.

    New Trader

Trading with $2500 is pretty much for recreation. You might hit a big score, but more typically your $14 in commissions and lowsy fills with Scottrade will eat away any profit. Normally I'd say use a direct access firm, but then software would eat you up. Maybe forex would be a better fit?

    how did you learn trading

This is going to sound funny, but it all makes sense in the end. I started out as a broker for a firm. I hated cold calling and selling "stocks of the day" that I knew my clients would loose money on. Although I hated being a broker it gave me great insight and knowledge of the financial...

Do I have a case against INET or Cybertrader?

The poster who stated that you can't sue anyone is completely correct. Disclaimers are always signed for this reason. INET would have been the one to bust the trade. I would ask the exact time at which Isand took the trade. I would think that you still have a very strong arguement that the...
