Historical back adjusted daily datas for commodities

http://www.pinnacledata.com/ Also pretty reasonably priced. No free sources that I know of.

    Eurodollar Spreads/ Eurodollar

EDZ7 is already pricing in a reasonable chance of a raise. I've been in the raise camp for a while. Inflation is only "tame" if you ignore fuel and food--last I checked, everyone needs fuel and food. - GDP deflator was much worse than expected. - Companies are still reporting strong...

    Mark-to-Market tax question

If you're trading financial futures, they're already Marked-to-market. Maybe you meant to post in another forum.

    Long Oil On Open!

That would be a surprise. NOAA thinks Tropical Storm Barry has a 0% chance of 50 knot winds or greater (Hurricane is 75 knots), and even if it did, it would miss all the critical stuff in the gulf anyway.

i am looking to obtain a seasonal chart

These guys have all you could want: http://scarrtrading.com/front_tier/home.jsp But, they might work for CBOT and be in on the scam to take your money on electronically traded contracts, so beware.

    "condor" and "Butterly" eurodollar trades

I found this on CME's web site, but I couldn't find the link for it, so I'll just post it again here. It has a variety of charts showing market moving events (magnitude and speed) for butterflies and a variety of other spreads in Eurodollars.

    Bashing profitable traders..

You're asking this in a thread started by a guy who complained people are "such homos"?

    ib option immediate exercise

They don't charge you the canceled order fee, the exchange does. As for why they do free exercises, I'm guessing the amount of additional labor is virtually zero. They likely submit an electronic notification to OCC (which happens completely automatically) and the shares appear the next day...

Poor man way to go long eurodollar?

I'm not sure I understand. Because it's $1M notional value, that's too big? I'd think the volatility would be far more interesting for risk than some notional value. Spreading is a fine alternative.

IBKR is NOT using the proceeds to expand the business

Yeah, we're idiots alright. I'm sure glad the "smart money" overpaid by 20%+.

    ib option immediate exercise

These questions are so easy to answer just by looking at your broker's web site. IB says: "Note: Commissions are not charged for US and Asia exercise and assignment." http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/commissionStockIndexOptions.php?ib_entity=llc

    Eurodollar Spreads/ Eurodollar

I'm not sure what that would be. You're looking for bank deposits of Euros held in non EU countries? Otherwise, the Euro Bund would seem the closest. http://www.econstats.com/fut/xeurfi_ea2.htm

    Yes.

My nomination for understatement of the month on ET.

Entering a Cocoa spread through IB

IB currently offers only NYMEX quotes on softs, and they're pretty lightly traded. They should have NYBOT/ICE quotes any day now (they just (like today) added the ticker symbols, but haven't added the trading support yet). You should try again then. ICE's individual contracts are much tighter.

    Will IB offer mini-grains?

TWS complains that I need a NYBOT subscription to access the softs, but there's nowhere to subscribe yet, as far as I can tell. I hope the data is reasonably priced.

Poor man way to go long eurodollar?

It's like I'm talking to myself. If we were discussing Euroyen, would people just be confused for one second longer and still recommend the currency?

    SPX Options Bid/Ask Spread WHAT???

CPI maybe? In Eurodollars, the normal .5bp bid/ask spread can widen out to 4 or 5 before any economic announcement.

    Sugar- in to win

It's simple. The US doesn't grow sugar, and it does grow corn. Hence, a $.54/gallon tariff on sugar-based ethanol. Just search google for "sugar ethanol tariff" and see the rants. :-)

    Seasonal spreads

Is this NG spread the one that killed Amaranth last year? I noticed every year is a winner except 2006, when it lost *BIG*. :-)
