    Gaps

Think about how price almost always returns to equilibrium. Question is.....what is equilibrium. Yesterdays open. Yesterday's high or low. Yesterday's close. Pivot. Price is like water, it seeks balance in order to flow.

    FIBONACCI question ???

Look for other key S&R levels that correspond to a Fib number. For instance, an opening GAP, pivot number. Not exactly sure what your asking, but look for retraces back to 50, 61.8 or 78.6% I agree with PROX...I find price extensions more useful.

    Gaps

When watching for the close of an AM GAP...keep an eye on all the major indexes. Often the leading index will fill and then reverse before your favorite index completes its fill. If this happens, there is a possibility that your index will follow the path of the leading index. For instance, on...

    Gaps

Put up a daily chart. Reference the open and the previous close. Mark points where this void was not filled. Stretch a fib retracement grid across your chart. Do any of the key Fib levels correspond to any GAPS on your chart? Be aware of these key support and resistance levels and transpose...

    Gaps

Determine if an opening GAP is justified. Watch the first 30 minute bar. If the 10:00 reversal period does not fill the gap, then the trend may be strong that day in the direction of the GAP. Why did the GAP occur? Was it economic data? Did it bounce on a key fib cluster or channel line at...

    Gaps

Trading Gaps requires patience and a great deal of confidence in the ability of price to fill a void. Depending on your style, it may require a larger stop. Possibly adding to a short position at the day's perceived high or adding to a long postion at the day's perceived low. Also, you may...

Maybe "Smart Money" will open the day and support trades in the direction of the Gap intially, lure us all in to the plan. Just when "dumb money" joins in the game, price moves in the opposite direction back to equilibrium of yesterday's close. The GAP fills as greed turns to panic. Be on the...

    Gaps

Analyze opening gaps in index futures. Document if they fill and when they fill. Watch the first 30 minutes. If the gap fills early, was there a reversal back in the direction of the gap? If the gap remained open until the PM session, did it fill late in the day? Did it fill the next...

    Gaps

Think about how an opening Gap is created. Who is trading after the market closes, overnight and leading to the next day's open. Are these trades being made by the "market movers"

    FIBONACCI question ???

Look for clusters of Fib numbers and then play S & R against them. Price retracements, price projections and extensions. Fibs are a self-fullfilling prophecy.

I get in when the market tells me an out when the market tells me. Waiting for the market to give you an exact amount can be very risky.
