Company intends to delist next year. What happens to my short position?

Yeah, I heard the same thing, but oddly enough the shares aren't moving up today. It spiked after the news in after-hours yesterday and that's when I shorted it.

Company intends to delist next year. What happens to my short position?

It's highly unlikely that I would still be holding the position by then since I tend to cover shorts within a matter of days or a few weeks, but I'm just curious what the possibilities could be. This is an uncommon situation.

Company intends to delist next year. What happens to my short position?

I recently shorted some shares of a company that just did a run-off and has decided to cease active operations. They just released a statement saying that they intend to delist from the NYSE early next year. Here is the full statement ->...

Going to switch brokers soon. Can I transfer short stocks?

Do you mind me asking who you left and the reasons why? Who did you choose to move to?

Going to switch brokers soon. Can I transfer short stocks?

I plan on switching to a different trading platform in the very near future. I'm currently using Fidelity, but due to the limitations with their platform, and poor customer service, I'm looking at several other brokers and leaning towards IB. Among my current assets, I'm holding several short...

Best site to view biggest winners/losers and most volume for the day?

I'm assuming you have to have an account with Lightspeed for that though, right? I'm looking for an easy-to-access website.

Best site to view biggest winners/losers and most volume for the day?

What's a good site to see the biggest winners/losers listed on one page in real real or as close as possible to real time? I currently use Stock Market Watch to see top ten lists of biggest gainers, biggest losers, highest volume, etc. The problem is that site is way behind real time.. like as...

Thank you for that. I read through 4 pages of mostly nonsense in this thread, and yours was the first really good post!

    Newbie questions about shorting stocks.

I have to admit to being somewhat confused by this. I was under the impression that if you had a short position in a company that gets delisted, you don't have to pay back anything. https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/maintain-short-position-delisted-stock/

    Newbie questions about shorting stocks.

Thank you Robert, I will definitely take a look at Lightspeed. What is the margin rate, and what extended hours are covered with that platform?

    Newbie questions about shorting stocks.

I started dabbling in day and swing trading a few months ago, and until now I've only purchased for the long. I'd like to also start shorting stocks when the opportunity is right. First, is there any particular broker/platform that's considered the best for shorting? I noticed Interactive...

I am bored of small wins. Would it be dumb to risk more to make it rich?

My sympathies that you're only grinding out 1k a day. :) Me and about a million other people would love to know what strategy you're using to consistently do that. You only mentioned that you're shorting and longing stocks with the most volatility. Can you go into a little more depth?
