    anyone trading off news?

I'd like to hear about how you plan your trades in terms of risk and reward. For example, what sort of moves do you find "news stocks" give you? (I imagine you're going for more than just a dime on a news play!) How do you decide when to get out if a trade goes against you? Is there some...

    level 2 OPINIONS please

This isn't directly related to the reserve size ruling (whatever that was). I still see most MMs refreshing to 1000 so I'm assuming nothing ever changed. Has anyone noticed orders on Bloomberg (BTRD) at the inside showing 100 and soaking up thousands? I've seen it happen often, movement just...

    Trading better with TS6 ?

Traders have made (and are making) money using both approaches (systems and intuitive) so there's little to be gained about arguing which is better. I would point out to Kymar that just because someone has coded his approach doesn't immediately imply it is a "get-rich-quick" (GRQ anyone?)...

    Trading better with TS6 ?

TraderBob: My thoughts on Tradestation are that it is an excellent tool for backtesting trading ideas and implimenting a mechanical trading system. I would argue that many of its system performance indicators are at best useless and at worst very misleading. (Eg, Total Net Profit, Max...

    Questions from a non-trader

Why only a couple of weeks? Depending on the amount of trades taken, the results may simply not be statistically significant. I find it interesting that new traders expect to come to the market, make a few trades and learn on the fly. The more experienced amongst us are well aware of the...
