    U.N. Demands U.S. Pay Reparations To African-Americans

So would reparations be subject to Hillary's 65% estate tax rate ?

What Ever Happened to Peak Oil?

If you drill down (ha !) and refine (ha !) the term "peak oil" to mean "technologically exploitable oil stocks" then yes, we have not met "peak oil" in that sense. Just ask Saudia Arabia and Russia... Even if the oil supply on planet earth is a constant being depleted by mankind - the term...

No free lunch. Ever. If the drawdowns are causing anxiety, just own it and bump your size way down or switch products entirely. Just my 2 cent.

Its impossible to be profitable in trading as a retail trader

In terms of my own clients, they need to build up their self-assurance by appreciating their own ability and their own results. And that takes time and commitment. The clients that I see do well with my system in the live markets are the clients willing to paper trade under my close tutelage...

Its impossible to be profitable in trading as a retail trader

Well, from my experience there is more than a little truth to that. And by mental, I see it as potential clients who come to me with emotional pain caused by excessive and misplaced risk as well as the resultant destroyed confidence. But, getting thoroughly schooled on a good trading system...

How do you determine trend direction?

We use three different criteria in order to determine a possible emergent trend development. And by intent, only one of them actually samples OTR historical data points. The two other criteria are rules - based.

What Ever Happened to Peak Oil?

IMHO this is not an indictment of "Peak Oil" in as much it's an indictment of how shitty the media has been in terms of investigative journalism. The subprime mortgage crisis and the manifold ponzi scheme hedge funds being two nice case-in-points.

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

I have quite a few clients who are successfully (profitable) trading futures spreads on a retail account basis. So, yes, it is possible of course. Having said that, we have a highly refined trading system that is and has been an ongoing evolution since the early 1990's. And it has changed over...

    Paul Rotter in 2010

I can't see that if he's trading the same strategy he did as an independent on Eurex and Liffe. Not even remotely close IMHO. Off the top, an algo designed to flip the order book is like Algo 101. I hoped he saved some $$$ and is doing something else.

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

I have a client who works the order desk for a Major IB - lots of fund and commercial interest lining up for this offing.

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

I would trade these precious metals spreads for long term convergence or divergence - no freaking way for mean reversion in the traditional sense of the term as modeled against previous trading ranges. When these go they really go; best not to be on the receiving end of the pain.

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

Zinc, Copper, Lead... the entire industrial metals complex has strong fundamental inter market relationships and forward curve supply dynamics that make for great inter and intra market spread trade opportunities. IMO, if the precious metals spreads stick, then the industrial metals suite...

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

LME is a spread trader's wet dream. I don't have many clients that have access to it, but those that do and actively trade it seem to do well.

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

Sure, they're going to get the same pound of flesh whether the exchange internally matches them, or you leg them manually, or you have a platform like RTS or TT AutoSpreader. Regardless, IMHO, this is huge. Legging a Shatz / Bobl spread yourself is one thing, but legging Gold vs. Platinum is...

    CME Ratio'ed Metals Spreads !!

I have no further info, but am dying to find out. They will probably change it every quarterly expiry and publish a fresh quarterly ratio .pdf sheet every quarter like they do the CBOT exchange supported intermarket interest rate spreads - my guess.
