BTW, having yesterday's H L and CL are good as well as today's open. Using the floor pivots as well IMO is over kill and unnecessary.

As you likely know by now, the trend reversal could have easily have turned into a trading range as a bull trend. I did not take the trade as I already quit for the day but I would treat it as any pull back trade with the exception of going to break even after taking profit on the first lot as...

Alternately, waiting for the pullback to the 38.2 provided a swing entry with an initial stop over the swing for initial risk of 6 1/2 points, actual risk turned out to be 1 point. The entry easily exceeded the measured move. The subsequent 50% pull back for an 11:35 entry hit the first target...

GL, you should start your own thread. It's likely to attract more traders than trolls....not that it won't attract trolls, they infest the place. But it's easy to put them on ignore.

As I mentioned yesterday Fred, these are simply points of inflection where the institutional algos set their buys and sells. They are not out to trick anyone with slight of hand. Most "traders" will foil themselves without any trickery. They simply want to make money....so make money with them...

Yes and it's not so much a methodology as an understanding of what price is saying as it progresses. From that understanding can a plan be formulated to suit the individual trader. The common alternative is to teach setups that "work". At which time they cease to "work" the student is lost.

Day trade with around 2k-3k funding myself

I think AMP or Ninja will let you deposit that. You can start trading the micro index futures but don't risk a dime until you know what you are doing.

Yep, we each have to find what works for us and of course, we can only recognize tendencies and probabilities, never certainties.

I've always used MM's to some extent but have come to use them more commonly and find them quite effective. I don't credit this to any geometric or symmetric magic but simply because institutional algo's trigger there. Fib extension targets of 23.6 and 38.2 are common inflection points for the...

BTW, I was content with the scalping until I saw guys making 30-100 point intraday ES swings in the recent volatility. That triggered the thought that there were more efficient ways to trade and that lead me to the study of Brooks and Halsey and couldn't be more pleased that I did.

Yes, they are numerous but here are several. I was not aware of the power of a three push wedge to identify tops and bottoms. I learned different ways to establish measured move targets beyond the standard AB=CD and fib extension targets. The material was also helpful in determining the...
