He Spent $140 Billion on AI With Little to Show. Now He Is Trying Again.

Should of just bought NVDA & AVGO shares at the bottom, instead.

SCOTUS kills Biden plan to forgive student loan debt

California is slowly becoming a shithole thanks to the 1 party rule here. It stays afloat due to old money buying all the coastal real estate along with Hollywood & the VCs in silly valley. Hollywood is slowly leaving LA for cheaper places like Canada & Atlanta and the VC movement has gone...

    Poll: Your June 2023 results

I am not really a daytrader like most on here (I usually get fatigued watching the screen for more than an hour) so I just use weekly options on trending stocks which has recently been the airlines, cruise ships & the FANG+ stocks. I was up 24% in the first 2 weeks but since then I am down about...

    DT-waw wild jukebox

Italo Disco was a huge phenomenon but in the US it was never really that popular. I personally think it is one of the best genres in the 1980s along with Hip House (mix of high tempo hip hop & acid house) and of course Rave (now referred to as Hardcore). [Acid House was mainly a London & Leeds...

    DT-waw wild jukebox

Another great track from the early 80s. Double Dutch rope skipping was a phenomenon from the late '70s early 80s mainly in inner city schools in Bronx (I used to live in Queens back then). McLaren was a pretty amazing producer & artist. He went from producing British punk rock to being one of...

    RIP

The In-Laws is one the funniest movies I ever saw. Alan Arkin & Peter Falk were hilarious. I'm pretty certain Meet The Parents was based on The In-Laws. They have very similar plots.

Recent AI rally- the Biggest head fake in years ?

It could be like the many false rallies during Volker when he retreated from raising rates only to double down later on OR it could be the start of a monster run similar to the the Netscape IPO. The nVidia earnings did appear like a Netscape event. If I remember correctly the Fed just finished...

I remember him in Valley Girl. He played the hippy father. It was a very entertaining movie. RIP indeed.

    UVXY next reverse split

My experience trading these VIX products is the easy money is to go short the VIX above 30. Going long VIX is very difficult since the market goes up like 70+% of the time. If you are long the VIX you are trying to predict volatility events in the indices which is difficult. I mean the interest...

    Dumb Money: Documentary about GameStop

GME is just another worthless company propped by the idiots at r/WSB. The Blockbuster of video games will soon go bankrupt like they should have in April 2020. Just like all the worthless SPACs that went public before the vaccine. What do you expect from someone calling himself DeepFuckingValue?

Bitcoin Bonanza on Tap if BlackRock ETF Is Approved

I mean the 2.6% outperformance is pretty close to the expense ratio (0.95%) + monthly rollover cost (usually 0.25% per month and mostly contango). BITO is interesting for its monthly smoothed capital gains distribution. So far this year BITO has distributed $1.56 but is actually up $6.55 so if...

    DT-waw wild jukebox

Probably one of my favorite artists from the Italo Disco genre. Koto's most popular track was probably Jabdah, at least when I was DJing back in the late 1980s.

VIX up 6% with SPX up 0.5% --- is this an intermediate top for the week?

Today's action seems to continue the dying correlation of SPX & VIX. SPX up 1.5% and VIX up 3.5%. Or it could be like January 2018 when markets were skyrocketing and the VIX started to go higher from like 12 to 20 by late January. And then February 24 2018 was the start of the VIXmageddon.

    Tomorrow Crash?

Only thing that can bring this market down is another regional bank collapsing due to higher rates. That seems unlikely but the KRE has done poorly since it peaked a week ago so maybe that is still the fear. The more talking heads keep saying the market correction is right around the corner the...

High-yield ETFs - why take risks?

JEPI is not a bond fund, it is a call writing fund. I think it is actively managed and writes calls against certain equities in the index. So I imagine it does best in a volatile but sideways market where the IV is large. I think the largest dividend is probably when the index drops with a spike...

    Dot-com bust 2.0 is becoming a reality

This article didn't age well and was a perfect bottom call for the NASDAQ. No surprise Axios is a political online rag that doesn't know shit about markets.

Rally: Trade it or fade it?

NFLX up 4% on no news, CRM up the same, ADBE and of course the eye of the storm TSLA keeps rising. Good luck shorting this market. You are fighting a tidal wave of liquidity from the crowd buying QQQ.

    Thesis - tradable?

So the payout is a smoothed out year end distribution. It must be lagged since bitcoin peaked a while ago. Ironically BRR futures don't have calls but BITO does, so you could probably write calls on BITO itself.

    Thesis - tradable?

I read the prospectus but I still don't understand where that huge dividend is coming from? It can't be call writing since there are no calls for BRR future.

    About Quantum Computing.

Good day to be long RGTI & QBTS. Both up 20+%. These companies burn a lot of cash. QBTS has more R&D expense than actual revenue. I guess they are a better bet than Phase I biotech companies (since they have a product already) but you have to wonder if the losses will exceed their cash balance...
