From his story, it sure sounds like he was lousy....just didn't realize it soon enough. A 'very good' trader doesn't find himself blowing up 6 months of profits (and then some) in one bad month again and again, they just don't.

Also I would never advocate that anyone and everyone try to trade. But if it's something you can really sacrifice for and have the proper work ethic, dedication and internal drive, then you should give it a go.

Bro, I've been doing this for over 12 years, day in and day out. I think I know what is possible in this business. I live very well, in one of the most expensive areas on the east coast. It's not a bragging issue, it's an issue to dispel all the negativity.

Guys, trading is NOT HARD once you understand what you are doing and HOW to approach the mkts. Until then, its a seriously dangerous place to play.

Tons of burnouts lately.....probably means the VIX is about to explode and volatility will increase. I'm going out on a limb and guessing the burnouts have trouble with slower mkts and when they all capitulate, it's time for the great ranges to re-emerge :)
