    Signs of Ford Collapse

You so dislike Tesla that you'll go fishing for anything that may "demonstrate" whatever it is you hate. Now you take BYD, because clearly no other American car company is close to Tesla's performance. So let's clarify... BYD makes ICE, BEV and EV and they are quite popular. I occasionally see...

Gas-Powered Cars Cheaper to Fuel than Electric in Late 2022

For an EV to be more expensive to operate than ICE, the kWh would have to be around 50 cents.

    Signs of Ford Collapse

I'm not sure why he compares the two, unless it's a given that Tesla is the standard to beat. In any case Tesla still makes more EVs than BYD and Tesla's profit margin is significantly higher. But competition is like democracy; choice is what drives improvements.

Big tech job cuts, 70k jobs gone

It boggled my mind when I started trading that the market isn't open 24h/day. Literally open union hours!

You turned a perfectly fine thread into a political one.

Big tech job cuts, 70k jobs gone

If we don't seek efficiency then we fall in the communist and union dogma, that of paying people to be on the payroll.

    Tesla 2023

Lol... Re ready my posts. I always say that tires are but one of other contributors of noise. Exhaust from motorcycles and sports cars or modified vehicles is far worse in urban environments.

    Tesla 2023

My parents live on a hill with a major freeway about 5 miles away below. When the wind blows their way they have to close their windows because of the loud hum of the car tires zooming in the freeway. But the worst is living in a city with lots of motorbikes bouncing their exhaust noise...

    Tesla 2023

And I'm saying you're wrong. Tire noise is a factor and some countries address it by changing the composition of asphalt to mitigate noise. The worst of it are freeways at a distance. But in Europe and Asia where large numbers of small cylinder motorbikes (mopeds) are used and many modify...

    Russia China love hate relationship

The Democrats were against our men and women sent to fight and die in Vietnam. You've just equated it with Republicans being anti war in the Russia Ukraine conflict... Ridiculous. And by supporting Russia, I mean anything any person of influence and power says that undermines support for...

Big tech job cuts, 70k jobs gone

Yeah I heard somewhere that Google laid off a large number of masseuses... Elon Musk led the way (again) showing the great amount of excess labor is found in tech. Twitter still runs despite laying off 50% of the work force... It's pretty insane.

Big tech job cuts, 70k jobs gone

You brought up Juneteenth Day as a waste of time off. I don't imagine you're black and thus your criticism is unwarranted. You have no understanding of its meaning to people who fought for it. Just like MLK day infuriates right wing racists. Presidents didn't found this country, the people...

All these tech workers will find work in no time. They will go work for the competitor or a vendor, or they will start their own business or retire. The demand for IT skills is neverending.

Gas-Powered Cars Cheaper to Fuel than Electric in Late 2022

Ok, the average cost of electricity in the US in 2021 was $0.1118 and the average cost of gas was $3.41. Quick averages: 100mi/25mpg (us avg) = 4*$3.41/gal = $13.64 for ICE. 100mi/3.3mi/kWh*$0.1118/kWh = $3.39 for EV.

Gas-Powered Cars Cheaper to Fuel than Electric in Late 2022

Say what?.... But that's ridiculous. All these are major variables that would significantly modify their headline. The only situation where this could maybe be true (not considering other cost factors) would be in an area with unusually low gas prices coupled with unusually high electricity...

Bad Economics: College degree’s & Income inequality

The medical field is in crisis around the world; not enough nurses and doctors in planned or liberal economies. Also, it's difficult for practitioners to move around because not all countries accept each others training. The most challenging is getting doctors and nurses to work in difficult or...

Bad Economics: College degree’s & Income inequality

US high school education? Come on... that's the equivalent of 6th grade in Europe. It's so bad that kids have to take separate AP classes to go to college. My argument stands though, you shouldn't have had to pay for your education. Australia has somewhat of an alternative. First, university...
