ExpressVPN refuses to hand over your data in new Indian gov't rules. Your VPN??

This is still rough thinking but I'll give it a pass for exploring cultural diversity. Asian or Western nations are less monolithic than you portray. It's important to recognize that Asian nations are far more populous than we're accustomed to in the west and more homogeneous. They evolved...

ExpressVPN refuses to hand over your data in new Indian gov't rules. Your VPN??

What's your point? Dictatorships will have you arrested for many valid or invalid reasons, online or offline, be it China, Russia, most of Africa, Venezuela and half a dozen other countries. Nothing new there. All you're doing is using a strawman to state that American "over opinionated" is...

Unlike you I got to retire early. Now go to work.

ExpressVPN refuses to hand over your data in new Indian gov't rules. Your VPN??

No, people want to live in places where they feel safe to exist, to walk about their surroundings and work to earn a living. You might want to review Maslow.

Not desperate for dictators, just mindful of the risks associated with saying or doing anything one wants, as America is discovering.

I don't know of any European country that is more anarchist than the US. All have strict rules regarding verbal violence towards others, all must provide true identities to chat online and subject to legal action from unfounded accusations. None of these constraints exist in the US.

The US is now in recession

Agreed! Time to cut C level pay by 15% across the board. Or how about legislating a 15 to 1 highest to lowest pay package for all businesses? That would instantly cut inflation.

Americans live in an anarchic bubble of relativism. Freedom to say and do as I please is bible stuff, and the consequences of it are obvious. The irony is, some call it the price of freedom. From that perspective, Americans cannot fathom that people in other countries are willing to forego...

Robinhood to Launch 24-Hour Trading on Weekdays in Stocks and ETFs

I think it's about time...The symbol of capitalism is operating at union hours! Opening the market to 24/7 (I realize this isn't what they're offering, but they're opening the door to it) will significantly increase activities from global non pro traders who are now constrained by time zone...

    San Francisco Has Fallen

Constitution provides for the right to bare arms and for the right to free speech. Both should be modified in this day and age.

    San Francisco Has Fallen

I fundamentally agree that hiding behind absolute freedom to justify walking around with a weapon or parading the streets with Nazi flags are wrong for the same reasons I outlined that it's wrong for vagrants to live on the streets. If minorities are given the freedom to affect the majority's...

    San Francisco Has Fallen

You speak of free country, I don't. There's no such thing as a free country when you can't walk the streets for fear of violence from demented vagrants, from petty crimes committed by vagrants, from filth left on sidewalks from same vagrants... Their freedom ended when they became unable or...

    San Francisco Has Fallen

Sorry but homelessness in America is a business for hundreds of for profit and non profit organizations and government employees dedicated to solving homelessness. It's like police; no crime needs no cops so crime is a business for cops and trying to defund the police will get you spikes in...

    San Francisco Has Fallen

Using general data to deny reality is curious. There is no question that key businesses are quiting downtown San Francisco, no question that vagrants have taken over several blocks of downtown and no question that petty crime has significantly increased in the last 3 years. To deny that San...

SF deserves all of it. What goes around comes around and refusing to prosecute crime leads businesses to leave.

    Sugar futures

Some sugar destined for the US market is imported in raw paste form and scooped up off ships in the Bay Area before being trucked to processing plants to become the product we're all familiar with.
