Don't get me wrong, I'm a strong proponent of the big switch to electric. But there will be negative outcomes (anyone watched Monro test drive the new VW ID4? :banghead:) and government needs to prep for these and come up with regulations to ensure we're moving forward safely and efficiently...

    Does Trickle-Down Economics Actually Work?

Trickle down growth was a tightly crafted marketing message backed by now thoroughly debunked economic theory and used to justify cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy. It's like guns don't kill, people do of the same era. These were days of developing but easily controlled media...

You may have heard how much more water it takes to put out an EV fire than an ICE fire? It's in the article. Now imagine a burning block where every 3rd house has a PowerWall and every other house has an EV... Fire departments will need to transition to alternative ways of putting these types...

Stupid people will do stupid things given the opportunity. However, as we transition from ICE to EV, I don't know of any comprehensive discussions and solutions to effectively combat battery fires between manufacturing and governments, which includes fire departments and regulatory bodies...

    Experience with TD Ameritrade?

This must be a recent change and US only, because a couple of years ago you couldn't trade pre market until 7:30 am. Outside US it's definitely 7:30 am

    Experience with TD Ameritrade?

I'm the type to point out negatives first, and if there are few, it means I like something...o_O TDA doesn't allow trading before 7:30 am EST. They should offer the full 4 am to 8 pm trading hours. Outside the US, TDA forces FIFO on sale of shares. Bad. TDA charts are good but not great...

Coinbase is unlike any market debut Wall Street has ever seen

I don't get it... Reading the news in general media or specialized traders media you'd think Coinbase exploded onto the market. It's trading at 316 premarket today Friday, far off from its 429 peak and off from its 381 opening just 2 days ago. In fact, it's close to its 310 low. It's as if...

Mapped: The Top 10 Billionaire Cities

I think it's easy enough if you stay away from interaction with the media. I know not billionairs, but multi millionaires who are just plain normal people living normal lives, no flash, no bling bling, no online fluff... They just live relatively secluded wealthy lives in several places around...

Perhaps. For how many generations would you intend to hold your Bitcoins? Right now it's at 64k USD and it was at 50k USD just a month ago. Getting ready to sell at 100k. Nice profit really. And I truly don't care about a future with or without crypto.

Really wealthy people stay as far away from the media light as they can. Between government shakedowns and kidnappings, the world is a dangerous place.

Well, seeing how pree open price kept creeping up to 350, 375, 380.... I placed a buy at 375 and waited.... When it opened and popped to 400 I laughed, canceled my purchase and went to bed (past 1 am in my time zone). Waking up this am (your afternoon) to see COIN at 350 is strangely satisfying.

Was said to be 10:20 this morning, but it's 12:40 and still nothing... ALKT opened earlier today and is up 46+% @$44+ but here again, it opened to the retail buyer at $41 when the IPO price was $30. So it looks like a huge jump when, in fact, it's a reasonable 8%.

Reference price is $250, although it's indicated now at $365 before even actually open for trading. I'm too new at this to understand the various shenanigans involved before the average Joe gets a chance to actually buy shares. Clearly, there is no chance to buy at the $250 reference price...
