Favorite 49" PC monitor for trading?

Just to throw a wrench in the superwide argument, I bought a superwide curved Samsung about 3 years ago and really like that I can have 2 documents side by side without having to resize them. Recently I bought a high-end gaming monitor that I ended up giving to my kid because despite the fact...

Favorite 49" PC monitor for trading?

Careful, the bigger you get with the highest res like 4k and next you will need to change your PC because it won't be powerful enough and will have to run your screen in lower settings...

    Consensus about AMC breaking 14?

Fk me...$31 :vomit: sick to my stomach. Unbelievable. Please tell me this was unforeseeable... the most money I've left on the table since I started trading 2 years ago. And I've left some big amounts on the table before!

Coinbase is unlike any market debut Wall Street has ever seen

It's been a month and a half, COIN has lost half its peak valuation (429) a month in (208), and now hovers at 245. Sure glad I didn't jump in that one.

The Chinese will beat us every time

Completely agree. Because they are culturally hierarchical, ideas come from the top and repeated down. In the arts, for example, the emperor's designated artists would make a vase and switch from yellow to blue. If the emperor liked it, every artist down the food chain would copy the original...

    Consensus about AMC breaking 14?

What a shame... followed my plan, sold at 18.5, took my loss and... missed out on the momentum :banghead: It's not the first time that I sell too early and leave significant amounts of cash on the table. There's a lesson there that I need to think about.

You don't have to like their government or even their culture, but you have to recognize their entrepreneurial energy and hard work. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/china-high-speed-rail-cmd/index.html

    TESLA & BTC

You're making the point that Bitcoin is a fantastic speculative instrument (and the reason I own some). But it wasn't created for wealthy people to become wealthier, it is supposed to be a stable alternative to government fiat money which, source of all evil, creates inflation, printing money...

    Tesla TSLA has topped

I would like to see Musk stfu, that's for sure. As if he doesn't already have enough on his plate. I think Tesla still has 2-4 years ahead of the competition. If his other sources of revenue (batteries/roof/software) pick up significantly suddenly Tsla becomes a darling again. I see no...

    TESLA & BTC

Totally valid argument. Now why would someone who lives in garbage currency country move to Bitcoin? Because it's a safer investment? Bitcoin swings 50% one way or another in matter of days and weeks and months. Is it because government can't reach it for tax purposes? That's precisely what...

    TESLA & BTC

Anyone can own a phone in China and India. But the poverty level for those who don't have bank accounts is such that Bitcoin is fully irrelevant to them.

    TESLA & BTC

I think the point is, if you cannot open a basic bank account today in any country of the world, you're so poor that you can't even open an account and thus bitcoin is irrelevant .

Australia’s property boom making the nation poorer

Yes, if you have the means, you buy where you want and aren't confined by the limits of your country. It's called supply and demand. Owners sell because someone makes an offer they can't refuse. France and Spain have sold out to Brits, Dutch and Germans, London sold out to Middle Eastern and...

Advice on how to make 5%/month on $1 million

I'd say last year was easy, just about any stocks were going up after the March mini crash. Maybe this year is a more accurate reflection of the challenges of making money as a trader? The tech sector which I trade is in a slow downward spiral (ARK anyone?) which can't seem to find the momentum...
