have you double check these lists? perhaps from 2-3 different sources? cause last time i did that-a lot of tickers are dead..

no such thing,cause the list is constantly changing. every single day there is some additions,deletions etc..and all symbols doesn't' mean that they all real business\companies\common stocks..it's actually very complicated task to maintain such list...but..to let you started...
