Thanks for the reply. How do I find if my fund is segregated or not? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you have a cash account it should be, by law, segregated. If you have a margin account your funds are subject to being commingled.

OOPS!!! I spoke too soon. My refund check came back! I do not check my bank account very often so when I saw the check came back, I called the teller and she could not reveal any information. She said I would receive a letter from the bank with an explanation. I contacted Eric and he said...

Yes you can have trailing stops. Their Levell II for active securities are the worest I have ever seen. Prop firms like Sterling because they have a "Pro" model for them. First North American uses them for quotes but the actual trades are handled through Nexus.

I used to trade some with them. They are an okay firm. They offer 70% payout with .0002 cent commission. They use Sterling, like most prop firms, but I would not recommend Sterling. Their Level II quotes are worthless. No problem in getting funds back. They charged "other" fees about equal to...

    IB's Smart routing strategies

Your response would sound logical if it was true. But I trade only low volume securities with almost no liquidity. There may not be a transaction but about every 10-20 minutes on most days. There should not be any time delay involved in reporting quotes or trades. If trades are outside the...

    IB's Smart routing strategies

Did you ever hear about sweep orders? Did you guys ever watch the tape? 99.99% of the time prints are off bid or offer except sweeps that go deeper into the book. Some prints are inside of NBBO from a) regional exchanges, b) dark pools, c) crosses. The rest 0.01% prints are outside of NBBO as...

    Quality of Execution

All stock trading uses the same order placement. NYSE and AMEX were using this procedure long before ECN's were even started. Off-exchange trading can be at any price regardless of order placement since there is no 'official' NBBO.
