Best sectors for next week? Re-opening and fed infrastructure

Great idea, wish I could but OTO can only trigger one other order, eg either the stop or the scale in. It would be better to have one trigger 2 others, for true set it and forget it trading, OTOO to cover both sides eg buy MRO buy stop 12.5 triggers both sell stop 10.2 and buy stop 14.5...

The myth of letting your winners run

You're right, thx, I used to scale-out just half the position, after your point you made last year asking that, I started closing most of the position, like 80% or more. The reason I leave a little bit verses closing the entire position is mainly to remind me to trade it next time it breaks out...

Best sectors for next week? Re-opening and fed infrastructure

Sure.... I buy 2-day high breakouts, eg .5 above prior day highs, for initial positions. I scale in every 2 points. Initial stops are set .5 under 2day lows. eg MRO I'll buy if it breaks out over 12.5, initial stop 10.2, will scale in over 14.5:

The myth of letting your winners run

A good example is the cannabis stocks. I had small positions in them a couple of months ago and scaled in during the run-up, but scaled back out as price dropped. I'm still in the initial small positions before the move up and down, and will scale back into them when their prices start to go...

The myth of letting your winners run

To let winners run, I simply start with a small position size. Then if it keeps going up i scale in, and often trade in and out of it, while keeping my initial small position intact.

can price action predict market moves

Best entries 9:40-10am tu-thur, worst time is midday, Monday usually worst day of week Most wins are daytrading the open, most stops are overnight swings.. good questions for all traders

can price action predict market moves

TA alone is useless. Trade management and price action are the other 2 legs of the tripod. Plus market internals, in vs out day, spoos etc for intraday. Using simple isolated technical breakout patterns like cups, triangles and trend lines equals mostly losing trades and false breakouts...
