Economis benefits of Imperialism and colonization

LMAO so conquered colonized nations should be grateful being taken advantage of at gunpoint for their resources (free or mostly free labor, agricultural and mineral), then leaving them to fight among themselves. "Blame the victim". Same as the poor Coca farmers in the Andes are to blame, not...

the myth of averaging down for traders

Oh ok, that's different. I didn't read your original post that way.

the myth of averaging down for traders

I know what you are saying but paying $10 for a stock that once was $20 is not that. History is just that.

the myth of averaging down for traders

Lean, not tilt. Not like running in football the wrong way for a touchdown, a player once did.

the myth of averaging down for traders

What if ... the buy TSLA @ $100 failed? And TSLA kept on dropping. Keep on buying lower and lower? At some point averaging down becomes just losing more. Investing, just like trading, is first and foremost about protecting capital.

    Signs of Ford Collapse

Yes but ever greater units produced, even if somewhat more efficiently, still means more resources needed. And more electricity needed so unless this is generated from renewables vast quantities of carbon are still being released.

    Signs of Ford Collapse

No. Mining of rare earths and the fact that electricity production, currently, still requires main sources of energy from coal and natty gas. So what has changed really?

the myth of averaging down for traders

Common sense ... is often right. Confirmation can be found for any point of view. But if a trade is going against me, the last thing I want to do is add to my mistake.

    Signs of Ford Collapse

I saw, but didn't save the link, of an article that claimed rare earth mining does more damage to the environment that any benefit gained from phasing out ICE's. May have been just one person's opinion but nonetheless it sure isn't clear cut that EV's are our salvation by any means. Regardless...

How I do scalping as a day trading and short-term investing strategy

Are the 50sma and the 200sma support and resistance on intraday charts?

Maybe you can post a screen grab example showing how might help? Bear in mind OP is talking about futures and on a 1-5 minute basis.

Are the 50sma and the 200sma support and resistance on intraday charts?

I don't use pseudo prices like MA's but if I did use them intraday no way would I bother with lengths of 50 and 200. But I most definitely use real prices like yest OHLC and settlement:-

Is this example of Algos at work ?

Including Gold? Not GC, other than a small blip, then pullback:- Anyway some got squeezed, does it really matter if algos or humans did it? Doubt there is really a way to tell with any certainty.

    Sugar breakout, yesterday.

OP still waiting for his MACD squiggly (no divergence whatsoever) to move price, instead of the other way around.
