And considering Russia's military performance (make that underperformance) in Ukraine flopped invasion that must be the reason why you don't want to see nukes used. Parts of Alaska and NW Canada might o_O disappear while all of Russia would be gone, baby gone. :D

Why does it require compromise on both sides? Hydrogen bombs dropped on WWII Japan is only instance. Lots of wars since by US and USSR and others that didn't involve nukes and the reason why is because both (and now many other countries) had them.
