The majority of the LGBT community will vote for Trump and in return the entire border wall will be painted with a gay pride rainbow flag pattern.

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

I talked to a client today about using a simple calendar spread to roll the front wing of a butterfly futures spread trade that is performing quite nicely for him.

    CQG is crap, what's better ? TT ? PATS ? CTS ?

My experience testing out PATS was a disaster in terms of spread trading... TT and CTS both are good platforms depending upon exactly what capabilities you are wanting and willing to pay for. Alot of prop trading groups that are doing complex spread strategies use Orc. Big $$$ for Orc.

    How do you cut losses?

I know it sounds Hokie and cliche, but keep a personal daily trading journal. If you can minimize repeating mistakes - that's the same as positive equity gains in your account. It will also tighten up your trading system in terms of entry, exit, and position management. The effectiveness of...

First year, if I make $600,000 in a No Income Tax State

One of the great things about electronic trading is that geographical location makes less of a difference than the time zone and the ECN. And if you can dramatically alter your cost of living while enjoying a lifestyle and climate that pleases you - that is tangible goodness.

Trading with emotional intelligence than emotionless

Having been a pit trader at the CBoT, the job duties of being a "runner" is of very limited value in terms of acquiring trading skills. If you are "clerking" for an experienced floor trader, there might be some to a lot of value in that ( depends on who you are clerking for) especially if the...

How can individual traders compete with large trading houses?

Not too many ET members can trade PJM-W or Ercot swaps or the Inc-Dec market, but your point about Power is valid. Having said that, plenty of commercials are active in exchange traded futures, and if they are accumulating positions those activities are definitely reflected in price action...

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

One of the most challenging aspects for new clients is getting used to sitting with a trade for an extended period of time. Spreads are relatively speaking very cheap to margin, and since we are targeting large chunks of market range it makes the most sense for us to be position trading them...

    Sentiment trading Method/Tools

In liquid, exchange-traded futures I seriously doubt there exists a true legitimate population of "market makers" to be of any statistical consequence. Having been a designated market maker myself in the past, I also would question the notion that their trades are "profitable" in a...

How can individual traders compete with large trading houses?

Well, having been a commercial electricity / energy trader myself in the past, then yeah I would admit that generating producer might have an advantage in, let's say, the hourly and the very short term electricity markets. But a "big trading house" ? Not necessarily. In fact, I saw a large...

    Open Outcry NYMEX

The "habit" is that big commercials and large specs have for decades traded large size during NYC prime time trading hours, and you are seeing a continuation of that routine on the screen. Exact same can be said for interest rate futures.
