you did basically two of the points in your post about your style. Post #117 I believe.

I think you are trying to apply it with swing trading. That is like watching paint dry. Why don’t you try it on a sim while scalping? Do what he is doing. Take positions on PB’s and trading the outer edge of ranges back to middle of ranges and scalp...at all times. Forget runners. Average down...

Micro E-mini Madness (2% per day)

Yep... He has a high win rate. Takes his profits quickly as the market gives them to him. He can always enter again if he finds he exited too early. But by early exiting he locks in a sure profit. As opposed to having a paper profit, not locking it in, and the market taking the paper profit...

You are doing good. If it were me I would not change anything. I would just keep plugging along. If you start trying to use other strategies one or two trades can wipe out your gains and undo your graphic. Once I got say 2 grand of profits ahead I might..might...might.. want to test the waters...

And here are subsequent trades in MES today for over $1112.50 before deducting comm. you will find the first trade in my earlier chart in this chart too. This is scaling in or averaging down using technology that breaks the rules. The original poster is not doing this I realize, but what he is...

Micro E-mini Madness (2% per day)

I believe a trader with a small account can learn to scale in with the micros as price moves against him. But he has to be very disciplined and know how to read PA. When to absolutely exit with a loss and go the other way doubled or tripled up. And when to take profits and not let greed grip...

Micro E-mini Madness (2% per day)

I like entering long 1 contract (or any min amount I have established as my min..in this case one contract since the discussion is referring to small). Next as it moves 4 to 6 ticks against me I add a second contract. If it then moves an additional 10 ticks away from my previous averaged in...

How would you describe your trading style?

Unorthodox, counterintuitive, unconventional, anti-guru, maverick, with a firm belief in a high win rate, flexibility, and grabbing what the market gives me when it gives it to me. I can always get back in. And exiting when I realize I am wrong and look to go the opposite way doubled or...

Tell me why averaging down is a bad idea .

Oops your right. Disclaimer: Averaging up can and may very well cost you alot of money. You can actually lose more than you have if you try the technique with scalping. So be warned. Averaging up is RISKY. Talk to your guru’s when it doesn’t work on reversion biased instruments. Maybe, just...

Tell me why averaging down is a bad idea .

Averaging up DOES NOT WORK WITH SCALPING A REVERSION TENDENCY INSTRUMENT. HOW MANY TIMES I GOTTA SAY THAT? DARN!

Tell me why averaging down is a bad idea .

    1) good idea..yes 2) yes because I rarely get stopped out a 2 contract but multiple stopped outs on 1 contract. I had rather take an occasional 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 contract loss with MANY 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 10 winners than a bunch of 1 contract losers. 3) when I win, which is MOST of the time...

Trump’s so petty he’s out here breaking weather laws

Don’t worry ochocinco. Your 8:00 to 5:00 job will remain intact as Mr T is winning again! Mr T has been great for the country. We don’t want another Republican. Most are RINOS. The allegiance is to MAGA and they is what he is doing and only the simpletons can’t see it cause they don’t know great...

Trump’s so petty he’s out here breaking weather laws

Maybe Mr T is so sharp maybe we should call him the sharpie president as an endearment term?? After all he wins and wins and wins. He wins elections. He wins on the Economy. He wins in the markets. He wins in real estate. He wins, He wins! He wins! Seldom does he lose. He has a HIGH WIN RATE...
