Managing a large Account for Income?

It's crazy and it's a pipe dream. Let go, seriously. 1st generation builds, 2nd generation manages, 3rd generation is so detached from the creation process that it blows all on hookers and booze.

Please explain this move to me

I mean, if OP thinks about it, how often has he fat fingered a trade, had to liquidate a position to pay taxes or bills around the house or cover margin for another trade. Those reasons don't necessarily add to the macro picture of the stock...especially not in a POS stock that pumped and...

    A Word About "Arbitrage"...

Most of this stuff isn't even about speed anymore. We're talking about extremely complicated methods to model orderbook behaviour, to predict quote movements and order impact to answer the question at which price to maintain queue position and where to pull your quote. This is trading for the...

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

You know what, dude? Discussing with you is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter which move you pull out of your sleeve, it kicks over all the pieces, shits on the board and claims the win. Be baffled about the treasury management system, read the goddamn prospectus to actually learn...

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

I'm working with a treasury management system every day. Short term loans, repos, swap loans, money transfers (ACH, SEPA, Tipanet, Wires). Worked in brokerage and banking for 10 years until I went full time trading. With regards to the specific ETN I mentioned: do your own research and read...

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

Why would you derive a "No" from the fact that I don't want to continue a pissing contest with you? A fish by the way is the idiot at the poker table who overestimates his skills and ends up paying everyones bills. I don't impose superior intellect, I'm just telling you from my own experience...

    A Word About "Arbitrage"...

I guess I'm a little late to the party here, but I'm actually pretty active in spot/futures trading as well as spreading this stuff. To shed some light on what's actually happening and provide something useful in between my regular shitposts, here we go: as @bone already said, this is not an...

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

Seriously I'm out. I'd have to write a wall of text to explain the same basic stuff again and again and it's just not worth educating the fish. Just wait another 5 years until everything is setup nicely for retail then go ahead and trade the funky charts and squiggly trend lines.

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

Well, you asked for an opinion and I told you how it is. I make markets in cryptos amongst many other markets and I'm more or less in the middle of the stuff you are denying. And if you don't believe that, you are free to send an email to Jane Street or Flow Traders which are authorized...

shares in non-margin accounts can't be borrowed?

I'm baffled by the fact that people still think that shorting drives price down

That's just plain wrong XD Your assumption won't be suddenly correct if you just repeat it a couple of times. And there is nothing in it for me that incentivises me to convince you. Don't even talk about explaining remittance business

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

That's not how cross exchange arb works. You don't need to buy on one exchange wire it to the other, wait 10 minutes until it arrives and then sell it. The arb is done between futures and index constituents or if you want to do spot for spot, you use a clearer that has credit lines with both...

Can we talk crypto ETFs & ETF-derivatives: do crypto elements like fixed supply present concerns?

That's just incorrect. There is no instantanious wire transfer for hedgefunds. If you want to get your hands on a big chunk of money within a seconds notice, you have to setup a credit line in advance. Also retail can do this...it's called margin trading. You can do the same in crypto land.

Are you sure you understand the mechanics correctly? I can send 9 figures to any place in the world within 10 minutes for BTC and much faster when using stablecoins. I also can use a third party clearer to give me a short term loan on the coins I have in cold storage. Ever tried to send 8...
