    Greeks

so it's not a straight bull call spread, I guess you must be rolling them for a different purpose and that includes other legs. The deeper itm, the less extrinsic value on your spread, I think that's why it's cheaper roll. I think the greeks are pretty flat at that point.

    Looking for options software advice.....

But I trade from the UK via IB, US market, pay for real time data and have standard commissions... That's why I assumed it's UK market, and even that sounds so 1980's, or ironic.

    Looking for options software advice.....

I think Windlesham1 is talking specifical about options on the London stock exchange for UK indices. And I am not even sure he is serious as it sounds like a story from the 70's. You can trade US options 24hr live, obviously :D

VIX up 6% with SPX up 0.5% --- is this an intermediate top for the week?

There are more expiries added in the last few years, so we have one expiring nearly every day. But the options are not dailies at creation, but weeklies and monthly, that eventually have a day left and become 0dte. I read that most of this 0dte action they refer to, is buy/sell to close action...

    Calculate Fair Implied vol

The what and why's are above my head at the moment, but that is how I learn sometime... one day I will understand more. Out of curiosity I copied your question into chatgpt and I got this: chatgpt: To calculate the fair value implied volatility for KO (The Coca-Cola Company) given the...

How to avoid stop loss hits ? (100% success rate)

I can be creative... But, when it comes to stuff that has already been invented and needs no fixing, I copy a lot. So, where is the 100%? Is it in early trend spotting or in buying an option and letting it expire without never hitting a stop that was never there? I see what you doing here...

How to avoid stop loss hits ? (100% success rate)

I know how to avoid SL being hit: Long ES @ 4280, SL @ 1200 As long as the super powers don't nuke each other, I am 100% confident my stop won't be hit in this intraday section.

How to identify 2% club of succesful traders in ET?

In my view, you busted two of the few profitable traders here... Unless you are arguing with someone on my ignore list. And I think one is an ex pro who retired from the office in his thirties. Considering this, your personal chance to identify that (overestimated) 2%, is 0%

who else thinks forex trading is stupid!

If you find FX sizing complicated, you should probably go back to study basic math. If your discussion was about leverage, fundamental and technical analysis, forecasting, volumes analysis... then it could make sense. FX sizing is at elementary level of calculation and understanding.

How to deal with wide options spreads in volatile markets?

No sweat, I learned those things here. Check guru reply as it is more detailed. I will add mark to my column too. And yeah... I would not expect a fill a 1.56 unless spot moves a bit in yout favour or someone pick up the order. Mid is the expectation but trying for a better fill and adjusting is...

How to deal with wide options spreads in volatile markets?

You can trade inside, or out, with limit orders. Like entering the 1.56 and if you don't get a fill, move it toward mid/bid. Normally you can get quick to instant fills at mid in liquid options. Spread might improve if you trade away from volatility events, news, open/close... but sometime you...
