    Position sizing and conversions

For conversion and reversal in size you might have borrowing and margin cost to consider.

    options - extreme IV?

Not sure if you can do it in IB risk navigator, in TOS you can enter volatility steps in the payoff.

    Baron

I agree, dest should be treated like anyone else, if not better because of his contribution. Let him block them idiots. Anyone can abuse this function by logging in and out, as it appears this was the reason for the punishment. Grant a user the same rights, or ban them completely!

    My SuperCollar construct

I might be off topic but better than opening 18 threads, lecturing people about how rigged the system is, how you created multi legged super strategies with your own greeks... re-inventing the wheel when you haven't read your first book yet. And instead of studying from the history on this...

What aren't all options cash settled?

My bad. I mixed up assignment and excercise roles.

What aren't all options cash settled?

I didn't mean to say that sellers are doing the early excercise, but receiving it with a loss when buyer does it. As a continuation to a reply to this:

What aren't all options cash settled?

Sure, but margin permitting, one can be assigned a long/short in profit, on expiration of a long itm. I think early assignments it's a risk for losing trades only, because that would be a short option with the buyer exercising early.

What aren't all options cash settled?

I think it's complicated, there is some theta decay but it's smoothed by volatility, so the weekend feels like if it is priced in.

What aren't all options cash settled?

You are not always losing money when assigned. You can be assigned or manually excercise any itm long and be positive. I like to trade cash settled, but with xsp you are leaving a big chunk % between spread and commission. SPX rules.

What aren't all options cash settled?

It would make no sense to have it all cash settled to satisfy a few retail punters by removing all the possibilities used by most option traders like physical deliveries, synthetics, hedges and other strategies.

What aren't all options cash settled?

If grandma had wheels she would have been a bike. Probably they wouldn't be called options if they were suited for each individual gambling need. It would defy the definition of stock/futures options. If you guys ever looked at it.

IB's new graphic for classical TWS

Strange... These settings were custom already. There is so much they could improve I hope they didn't just change colours and fonts.

Is Cash-Secured Put possible at TD Ameritrade?

Oh yes! I remember the theory of selling puts at 4$ on some meme like stocks on crazy IV, getting like 2$ credit and expecting to do that with 2$ in the account! And blaming the broker for not letting him do it in his cash account. If it's him, it means he didn't manage to sue the house for...

Is Cash-Secured Put possible at TD Ameritrade?

I understand. But if premium difference matters so much, are you not testing margin boundaries?

Is Cash-Secured Put possible at TD Ameritrade?

If you can sell a put, which you should if you can do covered calls, and have enough cash to cover underlying excercise... What else do you need?
