I waited and bought the 31th weeklies. but what a mess-can't trust these "unconfirmed" dates no more. Vola tells better story.

I am actively delta-hedging/scalping via shares.

ATM is at 5.5%...I adjusted the expected reporting vola due to the last Q move. Can't see straddle goes much below 5% on the day of report.

yep-both CIQ and Yahoo showing week of 21-24, but vola's bets telling diff story. Man, I want to long 31th weeklies and short the 24th so bad but can't make myself to push the button.

NASDAQ.com shows 1/28 (as not confirmed). 12/31 vols is > than 1/24. Now that makes sense. 12/31 is also cheap, but I will not enter until I see a confirmed date.

It was a hair > 5 on Monday, but now its a bit below on the mid (1120 strike).

The ATM straddle is once again stupid cheap…only 4.8% with almost a month to go. But the date is not confirmed yet…errrrr.

Remember when options were trading until 4:01 while some volatile stocks were reporting at 4:00 ? I did few of these arbs before they moved the closing time to 4:00.

There are no “volatile stocks” per se…everything is relative to premium. I made a small home run on WMT going long strangles a week ago. And historical vola percentiles can be very dangerous. Just check 2002-2006-building lower lows every month.
