Iceland refuses to honour international agreements

When you owe the bank 10k, you have a problem. When Iceland owns the bank 100 billion dollars, the bank has a problem.

five years later (the previous 5), still struggling!

Aww, I guess thats it. Overnight played a big role in my desicion to short. That overnight action was only slightly bearish, but the first 10 minutes of the opening bar coupled with ES exceeding previous swing high coupled with overnight action was quite bearish, more than 50% anyway imo.

Why didnt you short right at the open? All the indicators were pointing on a down day. I shorted right at the open when I saw how the opening bar was forming. edit: I also covered at 3 pm

    I predict S&P 1350+...

Looks like I was right about exiting at a small loss. If I stayed in would have had a bigger loss. I really don't like the stair step down pattern, its different from normal selling. Todays action right now kind of resembles yesterdays stair step down. Still looking for a better opportunity...

Hmm I sold my long pos at a loss.. this market action to reminiscent of flash crash.. saw like six 15min candles in a stair step down pattern, as if HFT were turned off... going long when I see a better entry.

$25,000 minimum for daytrading needs to be changed

PDt is a godsend. Daytrading is a zero sum game. Lots of lsoers, few winners, like poker. Just because a few win doesnt give the right to make many lose. They will feel duped, like me. That said, they should implement PDT for futures account too. It is already implemented for options...

tHE MINDSET OF A TRADER IS LIKE IN POKER. BE BETTER THAN OTHER TRADERS. because you need others to lose, in order to win yourself.

all the wins and losses combined off traders = 0. now, even if we ignore this fact, getting a fixed price in a volatile market due to speculators is that really value? WIthout speculators the market wouldnt be volatile (example oil 2007). My 2cents.

the market is zero-sum for traders. The market is not zero-sum for stockholders.

Trading is not a true business. Its a zero-sum game like poker. You need losers to get winners. In businesses, that's not always the case, but it certainly is always the case in trading.

businesses aren't a zero-sum game like poker or trading is. it adds value.

    I feel like giving up!

Trading is a zero-sum game. Thus the way to make money consistently is being better than the rest OR selling subscriptions to traders (which incidently is a business venture). Without Elite losers no Elite Traders.
