    Wtf is wrong with IQFeed???

Are you sure it's IQFeed? I screen recoreded about 4 hours yesterday, running IQ and IB and never saw an intelligible difference between the two.

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I didn't realize how small the file size limitation for uploads is. I placed the files at http://files-upload.com/426359/spydersposts.zip.html I have no idea what else is at this site, so if you go there and see stuff you don't like, please don't complain to me. Access is at your own risk :)

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I am in the midst of a major review, and in order to follow directions (which I'm prone to unconsiciously NOT do) I wanted to see only Spyder's posts. The following pdf are mildly edited (some non-trading stuff removed) and contain only Spyder's posts and replies. Hopefully this can help others...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Here is what I saw. I am recording my entire screen setup and just reviewed this portion of the day. In real time I think I caught basically what I am about to tell you. In review, it seems quite clear. About 10:47 stretch/squeeze started going below neutral and it got as low as -7. The s/s...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Here is a link to Spydertrader's first journal, which outlines an EOD methodology based on the same principals as being discussed in this thread. It does not use P&F in any way. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38777

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

The FTT is the signal for change on a given resolution level. By asking the question "what must come next" you are gauging your observation of change against a standard. The standard being the sequence that follows the FTT. So, if you observe what you think is an FTT, you next expect to see...

I would tend to agree with Spooz. When I used to sit and keep looking for FTT's, everything looked like FTT's. When I sit and watch for continuation or change, constantly asking myself what must come next, and being aware on what resolution level I'm on and need to be on; then and only then, the...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

For Ensign users, here is the template file for my "tick" chart. I have never posted a template alone, so if anyone has problems please let me know and I'll try and help sort it out. The .zip has two files, I'm not sure if you'll need the .dat file, but these are the two files I found in my...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I used to feel this way too. What I have found out is that as you do the work of learning, things become less and less subjective. For example, when I started in January, I couldn't even do channels. What Spyder did on his charts looked like some form of magic. Now, my charts match his in almost...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

I feel for what you are saying. I'm by no means an expert, but I will share these thoughts. First, recall that our focus at this point is learning how to see the market, not monitoring how many points we could have made. I stress that I am not scolding you :) I"m saying it more so I can hear it...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

In light of the past few day's conversations I thought I'd mention a book I'm reading. I'm pretty sure Jack mentioned it on one of the IBD meet up videos. It's called Knowing How to Know. It's not a book for everyone, but if you are open minded and look at this jorney as not only about trading...

shocking (NOT) IB down AGAIN @ night. help finding an alternative PLEASE...

And 6 pages later, still no reply to the original question. Anybody who is an IB client knows that IB tells you up front to have a back up broker. Well, who can we use? I for one would feel a lot more comfortable. I have a back up for US markets, but not others.

I would suggest that it gets you much, much, much closer. I think DKM will agree with this, as well as others. In time, I suspect you will come to agree.

Gman, don't get stuck on making this a set of mechanical rules that must be followed to the nth degree. Volume for flaws is a guide. Any way you slice it, the 11:35 bar is a trip back to the RTL. The "trip" occurred on decreasing volume, which is exactly what you need to see after the FTT...

Errors in the Hershey Futures Method

I don't think that Jack or Spyder ever called it a system. I don't consider it a system. It's an organizational paradigm(at least that's how I look at it).

Why can't US citizens trade foreign equity or index options?

Don't ya luv it when you guvmint does such a stellar job of protecting you from the evils of furrin options markets! Afterall you could get hurt. Sure, and Enron, 911, etc etc etc didn't hurt us. Howz about we are each responsible for ourselves. No, I guess thats simply too radical an idea.
