Yes it is "free" just like you get free checking if you keep X number of dollars in the account. Have a zero balance at some point, no longer free.

So then you must be currently buying more? "Should be" but obviously isn't which means that current price is what it should be. The future is unknown. Live in the here and now is my suggestion.

So you value the stock you purchased more than the money you used to buy it (which I assume you worked hard to obtain) plus the time value of it? IMO not wise but what do I know, I just day trade.
