Apparently more than you do. Your hero recently admitted through a consent judgement in Federal Court that she lost over $50M and defrauded her clients using false accounting statements. And Bernie Madoff was also current on his SEC filings.

She just agreed with the government that she perpetuated a fraud. And disclosures and agreements are worthless when one party is defrauding the other. Her paying a fine to the SEC in no way shields her from client litigation.

Bernie Madoff filed routinely with the SEC. Just ‘sayin.

The SEC filings that cite the NFA audits are from 2016. Throw all that YouTube TT nonsense out the window. I’ll trust the NFA audit that says she had in reality lost $50M. In fact, Karen just formally agreed with the government’s case that used the NFA audits.

What, just because no yahoo on Elite Trader of all places has any clue whether Karen Bruton has a civil suit pending in a State court somewhere that counts as proof positive? This is not exactly the ABA message board. She just formally agreed with the government that she committed fraud. If...

She cannot personally profit from a crime. Most States have laws requiring book publishers and movie producers to place royalties into a State Administered Fund for disbursement to the victims. Most of her disgorgement to the SEC is also disbursed to the victims of her fraud.

Where do you Karen fanboyz conclude that she was doing so great for such a long time ? Look at the SEC filings. The SEC filings state that the NFA performed an audit and found that she had actually LOST $50M and was rolling the losses forward used long dated options expiries whilst issuing...

Actually the SEC is indeed the cognizant regulatory body for accounting standards and practices in the US. Think about it this way: should a Certified Public Accountant who submitted false, fraudulent accounting statements to multiple clients over a protracted period of time be allowed to...

You’re asking me to guess. Her retirement situation is not “sweet” if I had to guess. She went to great lengths to compel the SEC to reinstate her CPA eligibility. (Which she lost). That tells me that at 69 years old she needs to be preparing tax returns and small business books in order to...

You ever hear of one of Karen the Supertrader’s Clients suing her?

:vomit::banghead: According to 2016 SEC filings she LOST $50M of clients money. The 2018 consent judgement which Karen Bruton agreed to does not dispute that or offer a reconciled accounting. In fact, Karen agrees to a disgorgement and a civil penalty. In that judgement Karen Bruton does...

    1. The SEC maintains that the Karen Bruton/Hope Advisers LLC Fund LOST $50M. It’s in their 2016 federal filings. 2. The term “temporary suspension” is used by the SEC until a public hearing can be held. At that point, the SEC can make a suspension permanent, reinstate the person, or impose...

There’s a bit of a misconception here that just because Karen Bruton paid a $1.5M fine that it’s the same as getting a speeding ticket dropped in exchange for attending driving school. She consented, she agreed to, a federal judgement against her. Nowhere in that agreement does she deny...

Wall Street Rule for the #MeToo Era: Avoid Women at All Cost

My sister is a Senior VP at a major multinational Medical Device Company ($133B). Wall Street Rule for the #MeToo Era: Avoid Women at All Cost

Talk about the law of unintended consequences... #MeToo started out as a very good thing for our society; then, the idea to believe all women and assume guilt for all men (until proven innocent) in a social media feeding frenzy without accountability leads to: men shutting women out of their...
