I've never heard of electors casting their vote for anybody other than the "winner" (or alleged winner as the case may be in this year). I've kinda wanted to see that happen one time and see what the fallout would be.

Disagree. Federal elections should be overseen by Federal regulators. If the SCOTUS doesn't do something and just lets this fraud stand, there won't be any need for "making sure we never have such insecure voting procedures again". :(
