How Mice Turned Their Private Paradise Into A Terrifying Dystopia

In 1972, animal behaviorist John Calhoun built a rat paradise with beautiful buildings and limitless food. He introduced eight mice to the population. Two years later, the mice had created their own apocalypse. Here's why. Universe 25 was a giant box designed to be a rodent utopia. The trouble...

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

I'm going to post this because it's been a subject of discussion lately. I'm going to post it here because this thread is about "dbphoenix's teachings" and whether or not they're useful. Whether this post proves anything one way or the other remains to be seen, but at least it's pertinent...

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

Actually, I suspect that Larry Phillips had as much to do with my evolution as Wyckoff did. After all, if one is choking on fear, there are no systems that will save him. You might find this thread interesting. I've stolen from it liberally...

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

Coming back to this, I suppose that one of the more important things I've learned since then, which has nothing to do with the changes in the market since '02 per se, is to "judge the market by its own action", specifically the dynamics of ranges and trends and the characteristics of each and...

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

True. I never look at that old stuff anymore after saving what was/is useful to me.

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

Oh Jeez, I wouldn't know where to start. Three bubbles and a burst tend to modify market behavior. Fortunately, along the way I had some epiphanies with regard to auction markets and auction market theory, in which Wyckoff had a hand (don't worry, he washed it afterwards). Now I'm far less rigid...

So What's All This About "Small Government" and Avoiding Governmental Overreach?

Actually it has everything to do with conservatives and libertarians and the work they do to invade the lives of women, non-Christians, minorities et al. The particular city was irrelevant.

    Since I'm a Vietnam Veteran, I'm hardly anti-America.

switching gears to Price Action via SLA

If I may tweak this suggestion, it might help to find a stock that's mean-reverting. This would likely mean one that is heavily traded, but if you choose it from the SPX rather than the NDX, e.g., something financial, you should be okay in re your experiment.

As long as you can mentally set those losses aside and continue trading your plan, you'll be just fine.
