    HYPERINFLATION VS DEFLATION

That's my conclusion as well. Velocity is everything. Right now velocity is very low...and that is something the fed wants to change.

The death of credit cards? buy PAY

Interestingly...someone mentioned that credit cards were going the way of the Chevrolet. Hmmm...BUT.....it's still around. Paypal is good, but it's not accepted everywhere as a credit card replacement. In other words, at Michaels, I want to pay by Paypal and they go: WHAT ? Bottomline: IT...

    HYPERINFLATION VS DEFLATION

Well, I agree with the above. It will take a scare on the downside for the Fed to go wild and the helicopters to fly 24x7. However, and this is huge: inflation is not sustainable without commesurate wage increases. That was not mentioned in your article. Otherwise, we go into an inflationary...

    But what about copper ?

Unbelievable....again, markets will do that. They take you out, and then they go in your direction. The Philly trading contingent is no more. We had a tiny get-together 2 years ago in Manayunk...and that was it. I'd love to meet up though. I've now gotten involved with a new start-up that is...

    Got my fingers burnt!

Neither....just lack of robust testing. Also, having a "go flat" kill switch is not enough. The switch has got to also cancel all open orders, and stop all future new entries.

    HYPERINFLATION VS DEFLATION

Of course....the pain will be IMMENSE but (here's the key) it won't last beyond a year or two. In deflation, creditors win, debtors lose. The US dollar will tank, but then our exports will eventually be incredibly attractive. Many companies will go out of business as the price of their goods and...

    But what about copper ?

Nice trade Handle ! Futures or Options ? Copper, up till this week, was painting a bullish cup-with-handle chart pattern. No more. Unless the helicopter takes off or China starts buying again, this guy is going down even more.

    But what about copper ?

Who was that trader Surf ? RK looks like they've done very well. And thanks for this tid-bit: No question, this occurred first quarter 2012. But since then, Copper has gone nowhere and now looks to be breaking down...even in light of a strong US housing market. If $3.28 is taken out, it may...

    HYPERINFLATION VS DEFLATION

Agreed, but a case can be made for the classic: "This time it's different". When is the last time we had record levels of poverty, food stamps, fiscal deficits, public demonstrations, banksters, etc. ? In addition, there can be no sustainable inflation without commesurate wage gains. That's...

    But what about copper ?

Dec Gold/Silver up today. Poor copper - flat. It looks very weak. I've been waiting for a new short entry spot upon any "pop". Doesn't look like that's gonna happen !

Thanks Surf. No question, this baby could soar once again. Uncle Benny's helicopter is very powerful.

    HYPERINFLATION VS DEFLATION

See my recent post. We are definitely moving towards deflation. Uncle Benny is trying to stop it however.

    The Big Picture In Silver

The entire metals complex is breaking down. Deflation appears imminent....despite Uncle Benny's proclaimation that inflation is increasing. That's just prices of stuff going up. Wages must go up for true inflation to be sustainable...and that's not happening.

If you hold overnight positions/swing trade, how do you hedge against gaps up/down?

My hat's off to you and anyone else completely reliant upon trading profits for making a living. All of the character traits needed to make this a success are very rare in any one person.
