I've figured it out....re: what's holding the copper market up: FXI. Look at that proxy for Chinese economic growth. It's been very strong recently. Over 38 thousand March contracts trading today...WOWZER. This is a "gentlemen, place your bets" situation. Could break either way.

Everything green today....except copper.
