Since he hasn't lost on this trading strategy (yet), one would think this has great potential for other symbols as well. What he is betting on here: no news or political event that would move the market a lot. For such a short period of time, I think it's a good one.

I see no useful correlation here. Even the net income to stock price is very tenous at best. Look at 2012 : stock price down, net income up.

Hmmm....a simple approach is usually the best one....otherwise, the methodology gets too convoluted and difficult to implement. 36 hours seems excessive unless he's assuming you don't know a stop order from a limit order.

If Orc has no programming language and cannot perform backtesting, I don't see it as a viable algo trading platform. Sounds like it's made for market-makers.

Volpunter has been on the warpath against any platform that doesn't cost $10k+....or wasn't built custom from scratch (millions of lines of code). Omigosh, if he saw Quantopian's platform, he'd probably throw up. I am definitely going to look at Ninja, despite the fact that I could jump right...
