There are many misconceptions on ET, e.g. payment for order is a negative for retail traders. It is actually a win-win situation for wall street firms and retail traders.

Difference is peanuts on a daily basis. You don't switch firms based on that rationale. Tomorrow it could be the reverse. Further rates change on a daily basis. Furthermore, wedbush clearing firm of lightspeed might better be able to accommodate traders in sprt tomorrow.

Going to cash is the worst advice. You won't get back in. if you happen to be wrong. you will miss further up moves. Nothing wrong with hedging and losing money on the options. It is called insurance. Think of it as an insurance premium. e.g. similar to fire or flood nsurance etc.

That is the argument Communist always use to explain away the failure of communism whether the former Soviet Union or Cuba etc.
