    Trading the SLA/AMT Intraday

15 minute chart preparation for the day. It's all time high, so the price action should be interesting, today. Schaefer PS: Previous day high is the same as Pre-market secondary low.

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Today's 15 minute chart for NQ. I keep my channels, and diagonal lines to a minimum. Almost made it to my profit target of 4347. Schaefer PS: DB, please let me know, if I'm cluttering your thread.

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

I couldn't speak for the stocks, but NQ being a mean reverting instrument, you don't usually get to hold that long, before it turns on you, so yeah, I'm always flat before the end of the day. The 5 minute chart is fine, but now you're competing against people, such as Al Brooks, and NoDoji...:D...

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Yeah, me too...lol The 15 minute interval fits me like a glove. It does not get me in at the exact tops, and bottoms, but it does offer more confirmation, and plenty of time to make decisions, so it's a trade off. But I'm happy with that, as it keeps me in the trades a whole lot longer than a 5...

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

I do everyday, but not SLA, just the version of AMT, as I understand it from your teachings. However, I do only glance at the screen occasionally, as my primary chart is daily, and entries are based off of 15 minute chart. My personality is more suited to intraday swing, as opposed to scalping 2...

    el bastardo NQ

NQ is a mean reverting instrument, albeit not as much as the ES. Trading the breakouts in NQ is a bit different from stocks. Do a search on Nodoji's breakout pullback method on this site. She's illustrated quite a few with bar by bar charts. Schaefer

AMD or Intel for Trading with 4 monitors with eSignal for around 20 charts?

It's a much better processor for gaming..lol Get whatever is on sale, and you'll be fine. Contrary to what most people believe, you don't need much graphic, or computing power for charting and trading programs. Now, if you're into gaming as well, such as, FPS, or flight sims, then yeah, you'd...

Yes, it's an overkill, unless you're planning on doing some graphic intensive gaming. I recommend Windows 7. Your 16 Gig ram will be useless, unless the operating system is 64 bit. The 32 bit would only utilize up to 4 Gig. Get a SSD for primary drive, and use the 1TB traditional drive for...

Need help understanding Al Brooks (chap. 1 of Trading Price Action Trends)

If you empty your cup, and start from scratch, then you'd find that his methods are simple, and practical. For example, he has categorized the shape of candle sticks to only two; trend bar, and doji. Like wise, there are only two types of price action; trending or ranging. That man is a...
