    the wolf-pak method

Wolf-pak, thank you for continuing with the discussion. Am I correct in assuming that, since these were pullback entries, you're bypassing the retest of the mean line, and jumping in on the trade as soon as the price moves above/below the first move? Thanks, Schaefer

    22" lcd question

    A regular 19" (4:3) would have a resolution of 1280 x 1024. A 22" would have a resolution of 1680 x 1050. So you're correct, the height would be about the same, but you would have more width. Schaefer PS: I have 3 Acers ( 2 x 20", & 1 x 24") for a couple of years now, and have had...

IN THIS THREAD: IronFist learns (the elusive) PRICE ACTION

Sorry, there's no playback feature in QT. However, if you have the hardware, you could record the screen using screen recorder software, such as Camtasia, HypeCam 2, Camstudio etc. Just be aware, those applications require tremendous amount of PC's resources. Good luck, Schaefer

    Trading The Hang Seng

You're correct, the HSI Mini is not on the approved list for the US residents. There was talk about actually submitting an application, so we could trade, but nobody wanted to cough up the $150,000 application fee. By the way, it's roll over time for you big guy :p Schaefer

15k rpm Seagate Cheetah vs 10k rpm WD VelociRaptor

For trading, charting purposes, you don't need either one of those. The standard 7200 rpm harddrives use less power, less heat, quieter, and theoretically longer life, and reliability. But whatever rocks your salt, have fun :) Schaefer

So doesn't using "tight stops" necessitate

Ironfist, it's good to see you slowly evolve as a day trader :) Your stops are directly related to the time frame you're using for your trading style. A 13 tick stop is plenty for my trading set ups, for my trading time frame. If you're constantly getting stopped out regardless of...

    NT or QT ?

You've misunderstood, IB's data feed works just fine with QT. If you use tick charts like I do, then it's best to collect the market data in real time via IB 24/7. Just keep in mind IB's tick data it not a true tick by tick data, but rather a snap shot feed. It's not really a bad thing, as long...

Quotetracker: can't customize, & limited backfill

It's working fine here. QT usually does not have anything to do with data feed. Also note that if you're using IB, it's best to collect volume, or tick data in real time. The backfill function hardly ever works for tick, and volume charts via IB. Good luck, Schaefer
