a few decades ago, I used to see many DOM traders in the trading houses. nowadays there are not many. perhaps the Algo / high-frequency traders are making DOM trading difficult. anyway all the best to your DOM trading.

NG is one of the best futures for day trading due to its very wide day range. There are people who do swing / position trading. some earn tons of $$$. some lost tons of $$$. also, there are people who do spread trading between various countries NG. Do note that trading is not easy.

I guess you have been doing counter-trend trading / trading against the flow / grain / herd for the past few decades. It is very easy to deplete one's trading account with such a strategy.
