    Exactly...and the point to be made: How to measure this risk in light of what happened at LTCM ? 6th sigma events can be simulated, but in their case, their positions were not very liquid....and that was their big problem. So there are several factors involved in the measurement of this risk.

    Stationarity is a condition whereby a profit opportunity is constrained or range-bound ...within a band ? Problem is: LTCM was relying upon stationarity until their opportunity became Non-stationary....and moved outside of the band.

    Of course they want THEIR bailouts, the "other guys" got em, so why not ? You can't do that (bailout) to a select group. That was never capitalism's intention....to have an UNLEVEL PLAYING FIELD....with the bankers having the easy downhill side.

    Overcrap.com's strategy of low priced or zero cost shipping is killing their PnL. UPS and FedEx shipping rates are going up ANOTHER 10% next year. This is going to hurt the online retailers who "eat" the shipping.

    Wow, where did you get that one ??!! If I recall, Clinton did put the emphasis on NOT. As smart as he was, I am amazed he didn't know this trick or wasn't made aware of it by his trusted advisors.
